the person over the phone asked if the money was from relatives/family, or is it from investments ,etc

Declaring Income Tax

Hey, assuming that I will be 'employed' by a company which is not registered in Malaysia.
The term/saying used is something like a barter, paying in cash for my service as the country's labor law does not allow hiring of foreigners.
The company will wire the money via a HK based bank to my local bank account here.
Of course, in this case, no EPF deduction will be made.

My question is there a need to declare income tax annually?
I understand that for applying house loan etc documents such as income tax statement are required.
But say, for the next 5 yrs I won't be making any major purchase for car or property, can I not declare income tax during the 5 years period?
