Hi all /k/ & Lowyat users, I’m doing a research on ‘traffic congestion in greater Klang Valley’ for my 5th year research project.
All Malaysian and foreigners living or have lived in Malaysia with all walks of life are invited to take this survey.
Details of the research as follows below:

Abstract of Research (187 words only, have a read)

The survey comprises of twenty-three questions and should take approximately 20 minutes.
Your response will remain confidential. All responses will be compiled and analysed as a group.
Upon completing the survey, you will have the option to enter a lucky draw for:

• 6x RM 50 valued voucher (more details in next post)

This lucky draw will be drawn on the 20th of December 2015. Terms and conditions apply.
Targeted number of respondents (800), minimum target to be of significance (400).

After 600 participants, lucky draw numbers will increase to increase probability of wining.
Get your friends and family to take this survey to increase your probability.
Multiple same email’s will only count as one entry. (I know got power dupe user, at least use power dupe emaillar)

A little bit about me

5) Research Title: Dripping Water: The tumour within greater Klang Valley

7) Purpose:
a. What is the major transport mode chosen by commuters in Klang Valley, West Malaysia?
b. What are the influences that commuters in making a decision to use public transport?
8) Why Behaviour Congestion?: While congestion is mainly studied by engineers, and recently studied by Town Planners, the socio-behaviour aspects of Traffic congestion is lesser known.
9) Rewards: All rewards given out are from my own savings, I am not funded by any University or Business. It is by my own imitative, because I do believe there is no such thing as a free meal.
10) Can traffic congestion be eliminated?: No, only be reduced. Building highways (as we all see today) will not reduce traffic jams as it actually induces demand for private vehicles usage. Only good governance will be able to ease traffic congestion, but it will still exist.

This Research is approved by UNSW Built Environment Human Research Ethics Advisory Panel, under Reference Number: 145066

Because this is posted in /k/, I will have to filter some troll-ish answers, but please refrain from trolling, the gathered data may be beneficial for us all since I will be a working as a professional Town Planner in Malaysia, and could bring some input in our future city planning.

Feel free to ask me any questions, I will try to answer them (tag my username in).

After compiling the data and submitted my thesis, I will slowly update here the findings.
I am apparently not allowed to post the whole thesis here as it is owned by my university,
but should be accessible by any Malaysian university that is partnered with Australian library database.
