Just arrive yesterday, Team Xtreem DDR3-2000 4GB Kit (2GB x2) rating at CL9-9-9-24 with 1.9v. TG said this memory capable to run 2000 Mhz with nForce 790i chipset only.

I don't have any 790i board so i will test it with Intel P45 mobo

Gigabyte Overclocking Championship Rules

Standard Hardware Configuration:

1. Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700
2. Gigabyte GA-X38-DQ6
3. Gigabyte 8600GTS
4. 2 x 1GB DDR2 Kingston HyperX PC8500
5. Gigabyte ODIN Pro 800 watt / Odin GT 550 Watt
6. LCD Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse

Weapons:

* All cooling allowed, except LN2. Air, Water and Dry Ice (we provide 10kgs of Dry Ice for each team). Cooling device provide by participants.
* Modding - No Soldering, else anything goes...
* HDD provided and pre-installed and configured with Windows XP Professional XP2, all the driver (use the latest forceware official driver
and latest driver for MB), utility like RivaTuner, ATI Tool, Memset (newest version), Easy Tune, Clockgen and SetFSB. No outside software
allowed, so no thumb drives etc
* Participant not allowed to use their own hardware, even if the hardware is the same model.

* 11 pm: Opening Ceremony and introducing the participants by MC
* 11.30 pm : Participants pick up the hardwares, and prepare for setup (checking the hardware if working properly or not)

* 1.00 pm : Continue to prepare for setup and testing.

* Raise your hand to submit a score and Marshall will verify and take down the score.
* There is no need to finish all categories. Highest total points at end of time wins.
* Marshall allowed to verify the score by running the benchmark again.

Got this board several weeks ago before going to attend Gigabyte P35 OC Competition in Beijing, and makes some short review couple a days ago

Physically, this board is very similar with GA-P35-DQ6 Rev.1.1, due to reviewers suggestion and some overclocker's advice, Gigabyte decide to use smaller heatsink to cover the northbridge chip.

The layout and the placement of choke and mosfet also a little bit different. Gigabyte put it in one row to make more space around the CPU socket.

Two PCI Express slot working at x16 native, just like Intel claim about PCI-E 2.0 specs. Also you can see two slot PCI for your expansion card like TV-Tuner card, or Sound card.

Beside silentpipe2 cooling, Gigabyte implemented Crazy Cool 2 cooling to make sure silent and efficient cooling progress. But frankly speaking, i think this is only a marketting gimmick from Gigabyte . Sadly, Gigabyte still make the crazycool covering the back of the CPU socket and northbridge chipset in one plate. So, when you try removing the Crazycool (sometimes it need when you using HSF with backplate or DI/LN2 container), you must using the screw (provide by Gigabyte) to make sure heatsink on the northbridge tight securely. I found X38 very sensitive with heat, and cause unstability system even in default condition.
