losing usb receiver for keyboard

due to my carelessness, i lost my new keyboard usb receiver. i hv contacted the manufacturer (rapoo) to hopefully get a replacement. apart from that, what other way u guys can suggest me to do? cheaper than buying a new set, of course..

the service looks great & creates travel options to north.
but it looks like KTM doesn't provide good booking system. apparently it only provide 1 mth advance booking just like the other intercity service.

planning to take the ETS next CNY holiday. possible to book now or not?

i am thinking of getting a tablet for office work like ms exchange email & powerpoint editing & presentation using projector. maybe occasional excel sheet. which is more suitable between ipad, android or windows? most projectors still use the old VGA connector. anyone is doing it?

micro SD card corrupted & shutdown pc

hi,

my mSD card from phone is corrupted. i tried to save it by trying few recovery program. managed to recover some files. but then, my pc shutdown. after restarted, i removed the card reader & after i insert the reader, the pc shutdown again. i use windowsXP. i insert the reader to another winXP pc & it also shutdown. any chance i can re-use my mSD card?

strange problem with folders

hi

i got this strange problem with folders with these characteristics :
1. all folders listed as 112kb in size
2. when right click on the folder, no "open","explore".. in the menu, & has "test/configure/install" menu instead
3. when double click, it will open a new window eventhough i select "open in the same window" option
4. microsoft office can't see anything inside folders

this happened when i connected a friend's usb thumbdrive recently so i suspect there is virus infecting. i have run & scanned AVG with no effect. but i get plenty of this autorun.inf detected now & then

HDD failure

looks like my PC's HDD has failed! when turn on got tak tak sound & windows cannot start, & always restart. i brought the HDD to another PC also it can't read. during start up on the 2nd PC it says the HDD is "bad" something can't remember, & it makes the PC can't start also. any chance i could recover the HDD??

PCIe card can damage monitor?

i'm using MSI PCIe graphic card. after few months use, my samsung CRT monitor went to standby with blinking LED & can't turn on. I switched to my older CRT monitor. after few weeks it too can't turn on. i bought a samsung LCD monitor since the CRT is not worth to repair (as the pc shop guy said). again, after few mths it also went to standby with LCD blinking. I sent for repair since it's under warranty. after repair, i'm scared to use it on my pc. i sent the pc to the shop as well & the guy said no problem with it. what do you guys think?? can a graphic card cause damage to the monitor? should i buy a new graphic card? or is there something else that might be the problem?

yamaha keyboard for live performance

my brother is looking for a keyboard for live performance. ie he wants to record his playing on the keyboard accompaniment & play them back live as background music. i am looking at either yamaha PSR-S550 or E413. looking at the spec for recording, they both mention only 5 songs. can it be expanded thru usb drive, for example?

or you guys have other alternatives?
