SPM is relevant again!

Received a call from Company A for an interview. It's a Senior Software Engineer position. They say they like my resume and past working experiences.

However... they need my SPM result for Add Math. Yes, SPM RESULT for ADD MATH! LOL! WTF?

I said I didn't take Add Math for SPM, but I did take Calculus, Algebra, Probabilities, Statistics, bla bla bla all those math related stuff in my Diploma. But they die die want SPM. LOL!

I asked them if this position is senior or fresh grad, they said senior.

Oh well... hahahaha really wtf moment... actually the most wtf moment for me! even as a fresh grad, nobody has ever asked for my SPM results, NOBODY!

Plaster ceiling and downlight

As the title suggest, how much does it cost to do plaster ceiling with downlight?

What is the rough/estimate cost? Still thinking if want to do just the living room or want to do for bedrooms as well... the house size is around 1300sqft, if deduct the balcony, yard, storeroom and bathrooms, i guess total size is around 800sqft?

what are the things to considered before deciding to do plaster ceiling?

LGE foresees 10pct drop in house prices

House prices for new housing projects are expected to drop by 10 percent following the government's move to exempt the sales and service tax on building materials, says Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.

According to Lim, the Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association Malaysia (Rehda) had approved the price reduction.

“SST exemption has been given for building materials to give a boost to the real estate sector and we hope it can bring about a decline in house prices.

“We hope and await to see the new home prices as announced by Rehda.

"Thanks for responding to the SST exemption for building materials even at the last moment because of the deadline at the end of this month, at least can go down by 10 percent,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.

Lim, however, explained that the drop in house prices did not involve price-controlled housing projects, such as low-cost and low medium-cost houses.

As for the price of existing housing projects, he asked the people to wait for the announcement during the presentation of Budget 2019 this Friday.
Asked if the developers were still reluctant to lower home prices as expected, Lim said the government would reimpose the SST for construction materials.

“Action will be taken if they are reluctant. But I believe Rehda will explain to its members and they will comply, otherwise we will talk about market demand and supply and they will be penalised by the buyer.

“For me, I want a 10 percent reduction and I hope Rehda can work in that direction to make sure it is achieved and I'll give them time,” he said.

Don't just focus on the dead for 'political mileage', MCA tells Kit Siang

DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang should not just focus on those who are dead for “political mileage,” says an MCA leader.

Senator Ti Lian Ker was responding to Lim's call to reinvestigate the deaths of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu, deputy public prosecutor Kevin Morais, banker Hussain Najadi and DAP aide Teoh Beng Hock.

“MCA would like to stress that DAP, now that it’s in authority, should not focus on those who are dead for political mileage alone but also take on 'sensitive' cases like the missing pastor Raymond Koh, Perlis activist Amri Che Mat, pastor Joshua Hilmy and his wife Ruth Hilmy.

“Is DAP afraid to confront these cases of disappeared persons out of fear of antagonising certain political sensitivities, or are they abandoning or avoiding the woes of the Christian community now because of political considerations?

“DAP should not exploit the dead purely for political considerations, but more importantly, ensure efforts and attempts are made (to locate) those who are possibly still alive and can be saved,” he added in a statement this afternoon.
Ti, who heads MCA's religious harmony bureau, said DAP must ensure that no stone is unturned in seeking answers regarding the whereabouts of the pastors and activist.

“DAP should give similar concern and equal emphasis on pastor Koh's case as much as they give to Altantuya or Teoh's mysterious deaths.

“DAP must deliver what they promised (before the elections) and walk their talk of solving or getting to the bottom of all these cases,” he added.

Yesterday, former premier Najib Abdul Razak challenged Lim to pressure Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad to reopen investigations into the deaths which the DAP leader mentioned.
