Car - motorcycle accident question

Yesterday on MRR2 I got pulled by the cops. I stopped on the emergency lane and when i opened the door (i did check in the mirror for bikes), a motorcyclist hit my door and fell down and maybe fractured/broke some bones. He was sent to hospital and I made police report. My question is even though I have insurance, can the motorcyclist still file a civil lawsuit against me? Thank you.

Xiaomi Note 10 OLED flashing warranty not covered

Hi all,

I bought a Xiaomi Note 10 w 2 yrs warranty from a Lazada seller in Dec 2019. In Oct 2020 the OLED screen developed problem, there's a line of dead pixel on the screen and whenever activating the under-screen fingerprint sensor, the screen will keep flashing at maximum brightness. After sending back to the seller's physical store they're now asking for RM550 to repair the screen. Seller claims that warranty is only 6 months for LCD, speaker, battery, charging port, & button. Is this normal? Any suggestion where else I can send for repair that won't cost as much?

I have a friend who is 50yo. She has an old red M'sian IC; not MyKad. Her father is a red IC holder too. Her mother is a Singaporean citizen. She has gained a HK passport and has been living abroad for the past 20 years but now wants to return to Malaysia. Is she eligible to apply for Permanent Residence? How's the process of applying?
