Monitor, Samsung or Dell?

I'm planning to buy a new monitor after my 5 years old Dell 17" LCD monitor is starting to give me problems. To replace it, I'm thinking of getting the Samsung 2233 SW (RM565) or the Dell S2209W (RM539). I'm leaning towards the Dell because I'm very happy with my current monitor since it didn't give me any problems for 5 years until now. Are Samsung monitors as durable?

My question is, is the Samsung or the Dell a better buy? What I'm looking for is durability and value for money. Thanks.

Just bought an iphone, i have a few questions.

I've just bought a 16gb 3g iphone from lowyat plaza. The salesman said that its officially unlocked from singtell. Went home, checked the model number, it's MB496T (Italy?) instead of the ZA/A used for Singaporean iPhones. Is my iPhone officially unlocked or have I been conned?

Anyways, I tried syncing it to my itunes, but this message popped up:
An iPhone has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPhone, then try again.

As many times as I tried reconnecting it, the same message popped up.

Help, anyone?

A few questions needing answers on my new desktop

Hello LYN, I just upgraded my desktop. Well, more like, change the whole damn thing but retaining the hard disk and cd rom.
I bought it on a whim and I didn't actually did that much research. So I hope you guys can help answer my questions. But first, my com's specs:

Processor
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450

Ram
Team Elite 4GB Kit 2GBx2

Motherboard
Gigabyte EP35-DS3

Power Supply
Corsair VX550 (550W)

Graphics Card
Sapphire Radeon HD4870

Hard Disks
3 SATA hard disks

Casing
Asus VENTO 7700

My questions:
1. Are there any bottlenecks on my PC?
2. If there are, should I overclock my PC?
3. If I were to overclock my PC, are the stock fans enough to keep my PC cool?
4. I re-installed XP, but sometimes there are a number of lags happening. What could cause it?

Speaker problems.

I bought my Sonic Gear A5 around 3-4 weeks ago. It worked fine and I was very happy with it for the first week. But after 2 weeks of not using it, now when I turn it on, there's a rumbling sound coming from the subwoofer and the satelite speakers. The sound is something like thunder-rumblings from far away. The thing is, when I lower down the bass knob, it goes away. And when i turn down the volume all the way down, the sounds are still there.

Is there a way to fix this? I'm not that keen to bring it back to the shop where I bought it as the box is omfg big and it's darned heavy.
