Core 2 Duo 1.66 Or 2GB of RAM

I am considering between upgrading Core Duo 1.6 to Core 2 Duo 1.66 or from 1GB to 2GB RAM.

I mainly use my laptop for DivX videos, photoshop, illustrator, BTorrent, MP3, some light video editing, wordprocessing.

What do you think? Should I get the latest Core 2 Duo? Does it make A LOT of difference?

I was thinking of via Bluetooth, since I heard it's at least 1MB/sec(?) but what other methods do you guys suggest? I heard of the crossover cable method but I am a noob at networking. Hehe.
