Old folks home/Healthcare center governance

First, I would like to know if any of us here have experience with old folks home or Healthcare center for senior citizens. The general public is aging and I guess one of the thing that we can do for ourselves is look for ways to ensure we can have better treatment if need be.

This question arise after a recent incident with a local Healthcare center. A friend had to send one of a more senior member of the family to the said Healthcare center. The center gave fine care at first. But as time goes by the care givers come and go. It has caused shortage of manpower over the period. And unfortunately, the senior member in the Healthcare center was left unattended on one occasion and fell. The incident caused multiple stitches on the senior member. The center blame the old folks for failure to "obey".

I know most of you may say we can report somewhere or just pack up and leave. But imagine if we are the ones in the center some time from now, how could we ensure we are in good hands?

I am writing this in hope we can find a way to raise awareness and ensure Healthcare industry in Malaysia has better governance.

Enough ranting, serious topic. Is there really a source that we can go for help.

I am guessing my account might be suspended due to this and I might have better luck in classified section but I ran out of idea.

I was in this event in KLCC earlier yesterday and there's a lady in the event too.
We had our 1st eye contact when I was picking up my breakfast and her at the water dispenser.
Slowly after I peek at her direction during the talks and to my surprise I got her looking back at my direction.

After the event, there were a few occasion that I should have had the chance to talk to her but unfortunately my guts didn't kick in.

Therefore, I am really trying my luck here for 1, if ur watching, hopefully you can drop me a PM.

Would like seek the job prospect of SharePoint administrator. Have been offered a job and training to become SharePoint administrator. However, notice most of the SharePoint expert out there seems to lean more towards application development. What's the outlook like for this area?

Website Changing Desktop Background

Hi, I did some research on Google and revealed no similar topic.
I wonder if any1 experienced your desktop background changed once you visit a website. The picture will stay permanent and it replaced the conventional desktop background picture that you are using.
Is it an exploit that should be taken care seriously?
It so happend that I clicked the link on a foreign forum and revealed an advertisement page. After closing the main IE window only I realize my desktop background has changed to the same theme as the pop up advertisement.

help and opinion is very much in need!

I am experiencing intermittent system freeze after Kaspersky automatically updated its program definition since last Friday. And it's not on 1 machine. The same symptoms is happening on all the machines that I have the same version of Kaspersky installed and updated.

It's terribly annoying as I have to pause working for 1 or 2 seconds for each freeze and each freeze happens every 10 to 20 seconds.
I couldn't find a lead on Google and I am desperately in need of input of any fellow users are experiencing the same thing.

S-Video 7 Pin to RCA help needed!

Hi,
Any1 having experience with el-cheapo S-video 4pin/7pin to RCA out cable bought from lowyat plaza? I am having trouble with the cable even after exchanging the cable with the shop. However, an old 1 that is 4 pin S-Video to RCA out having identical S-Video male and RCA female works fine but only display monochrome might be due to pin out incompatibility. However a S-Video 4 pin to 4 pin works fine with the same setup.
That's the reason I get new S-Video cable to output from Acer laptop's Intel X3100. I tried to google up s-video cable but it all looks the same. Is there any pin out difference or what should I pay attention when getting S-Video to RCA cable.

500GB ide hdd with Promise/Highpoint PCI RAID

I bought a unit of 500gb ide hdd but to find out my mobo does not support 48-bit LBA. even latest bios also doesn't support it. anybd hv experience running 500gb successfully with a promise/highpoint controller card b4 i go out n get it? wouldn't want to waste more money as if it's not usable then i might as well sell the 500gb n get smaller ones.
