How to install keyless entry for less than RM50

Did you just bought a POS 20 year old base model vehicle with no remote entry? Tired of having your date waiting in front of the passenger door while you try to scramble your keys out so you can unlock the doors with your puny key?

Good news, you can get an aftermarket keyless entry on Lazada for less than RM50 including shipping.

Am talking about one of these: https://www.lazada.com.my/products/universa...Js0pi0&search=1

Installation is pretty straightforward, locate the wires, program the remote, and done.

If your car already has central lock(power locks) with a driver side switch, you're in luck, there's no much wiring required; otherwise, you'll have to install the door locks manually in each door.

First up: wiring.

I think it's super important to first test the wires in your car to check which ones will lock/unlock your door. One way to test this is to strip(not cut!) one part of the wire with a razor blade, then probe it with a wire that's connected to the car body(the entire car body leads back to ground). There should be two wires, one to lock, and one to unlock.

Understanding the keyless entry unit: in short, the unit is just a relay with a frequency receiver. there are three sets of wires: yellow, orange, and white.
Diagram below(original diagram provided by manufacturer but it's as useful as ropeless skipping rope):

Yellow and orange wires are meant to connect/break to the white wires when the lock/unlock button is pressed. Orange is Normally Closed, which means current passes through except when the lock/unlock buttons are pressed. Yellow is Normally Open, which means current doesn't flow through and it only flows through when the lock/unlock button is pressed.

Once you've figured out which wires in your car triggers the central lock, here's how I'll wire it.
Yellow and Yellow Black: Connect to Ground(Black/Negative) Wire.
White: Lock wire
White/Black: Unlock wire.
Orange wires are not connected.
This will ensure that when the lock/unlock button is pressed, the circuit between white and yellow wires are closed and current can flow through, triggering the central locking system.

The rest of the wiring is just connecting the red wire to battery positive and black/negative and yellow/yellow black wire to battery negative.

Right on, now programming:
to program the unit, there's usually a learning button on the unit.
Press and hold the button until the unit clicks(it's very audible, you won't miss it). then press any buttons on the key fobs provided.
Now you have programmed your key fobs to your unit, and your car has keyless entry.

MT car can't get in gear during winter need help

Car is a 2005 Dodge Neon. 5 speed MT, it's been like this for a week since the temperature dropped below - 10C. Car won't shift into gear unless I wait for around 4 mins, and when it did it was notchy. No problem starting tho. Checked my clutch fluid levels and it was full with no leaks around the clutch cylinders, the paddle however feels like ass and can sometimes get stuck when it's depressed.

Should i replace the tranny fluid?

I got a girlfriend after a year of dry spell.

At the end of 2016 I was this close to propose to my then girlfriend, but she had other plans and it didn't work out.

In 2017, I was under a dry spell, I went on a few dates, but I didn't put in much effort. I was so focused with work to numb the pain, and I always looked a mess every time I picked up my date. It was a very miserable year, as none of my attempts ever net me a second date. I spent Christmas night alone in the winter, my former housemate / best friend took pity on me and invited me to his Christmas party, I was the only one without a +1, while he is happily married and is expecting a second child.

In 2018, I set a real, proper goal to find myself a mate. I downloaded Tinder, Bumble, and PoF. Now you'd think I must be crazy trying to find love on a hookup app, but it actually worked. I didn't want to pay for Tinder gold because that just seemed obnoxious and over-eager. I made a friend with a colleague from work. She's 4 years my senior and so I never viewed the friendship as something beyond that.

I told her about my woes and she told me that the first thing I need is to fix my dang posture. I spent my entire 2017 crouched in front of a computer that I now slouched even when relaxing. I bought barbells from a garage sale, and went to work. I did the starting strength 5x5 program, 6 months in I was deadlifting and squatting 2.5 plates while benching around 1.5 plates(weak stats, I know), but it wasn't just about the strength, my posture dramatically improved, and with that my self confidence improved.

My colleague / friend also took me shopping because she realized how plain and boring my wardrobe looked. All in all, I dropped over $200(USD) in terms of clothing. It was a total makeover. She took me for a haircut, and would give me feedback with every haircut.

The final thing, is that she helped me took a lot of Tinder-worthy photos. Even at the office, she would sneak up on me and take candid photos that I can later upload on Tinder. She literally wrote my Tinder bio. She's an English major so she knew how to incorporate pathos, ethos, and logos onto 150 characters.

With her efforts, I was getting 12-15 matches a day. Two weeks ago, I met the perfect girl on Tinder, I knew she wasn't a thot because she insisted the first date to be over coffee instead of Netflix. We went on 3 dates during the first week I met her, and as of last week, we are officially dating.

I finally ended my dry spell after 12-16 months. I was miserable during those months, and I totally would have fallen into the MGTOW or Incel movement had I not make friends with my colleague. She wasn't just blunt and straightforward at pointing out my flaws, but she actually helped me improve myself. A friend like this is a friend to keep.

For all you guys out there, if you haven't found any success with women, maybe it's not their fault. I fell into deep depression when my ex left me in 2016 and had an irrational hatred for women, I started channeling the negative energy and the people around me felt it. Looking back at it now, I was in a piss poor state mentally and physically. It would have been a joke for any women to even want to give me a second chance back then. The lesson here is to evaluate yourself and try to improve your current wellbeing first before attempting to care for anyone. That is all.

Facts:
I'm in my early twenties, and I have a career in database design.

[Review]The House with a Clock in Its Walls

The premise had great potential, but the execution of the movie squandered it. In fact, they took all the magic and wonder from its source material and curb-stomped it to death in a dark, dirty alleyway.

The plot is the largest flaw in the entire movie. The 'doomsday clock' which was the center-focus of the entire movie was rendered useless NOT at the end of the movie when Lewis destroyed it, but right at the middle of the movie.
We were all told that it was ticking and counting down to an event, and yet halfway through the movie it suddenly changed from a countdown to needing an activation key? Would the clock have been activated regardless of Isaac's revival from the dead?
Why can't Isaac just wait it out for the countdown to expire and just camp out after his revival instead of having to break into the house and activate it with the key?
In fact, the sole reason they even found the doomsday clock to destroy it at the end was solely due to Isaac's actions. Had he not broken into the house, nobody will ever find out where the clock is, and then it's just a matter of waiting for the countdown to expire.

The plot was full of holes and contains none of the entertainment value found in other Jack Black movies such as Nacho Libre. If anything, it came across as a piss-take parody of Harry Potter. Has Jack Black fallen into the unfortunate bad movies spiral such as Adam Sandler and Nick Cage? If so, that's too bad.

Overall, 0/10. Conclusion: Rubbish.

How to handle NDA breach?

Had too much to drink and accidentally spilled some very sensitive information to a stranger. I am now worried that the stranger might share the information to other people. Higher-ups told me to just monitor and observe the individual and only take action if the individual decides to be a loudmouth about it.

The 'stranger' is a tinder date.

Not entirely sure how to handle the 'monitor and observe' part, do I just keep in contact with this individual and check if she is leaking anything, or can I just approach this individual and make her promise not to share anything I've said, like make her sign an NDA?

Comprehensive Guide to Cheap Chinese Car Stereo.

Shopping amongst a sea of cheap Chinese Car Stereos, it is very easy to get distracted by the price and seemingly high ratings.

What you need to know:
-The brands don't really matter.
-Amplifier chips.
-ISO plugs.
-RCA outputs.
-Dash installation kits.

1. The brands don't really matter.
Most of the cheap Chinese stereos are manufactured by a handful of OEM manufacturers. This means that it doesn't matter if you are buying a 'PolarLander' brand or some generic unbranded stereo, they are most likely made by the same people. Take for example, the JSD-520 stereo, a simple Google search will reveal that there are many brands and variants of this car stereo and yet most of them will have the same face plate, the few things that differentiates them is the amplifier IC, the number of RCA outputs, and the wire harness.

2. Amplifier chips.
A lot of the sellers on AliExpress and eBay will claim that the stereos are rated at 4 * 60W or more. First up, this is bullshit. Most of the stereos don't even come close to achieving that level of output without a high level of distortion.
An important detail that most of the sellers will give is the amplifier chip that is built into the stereo.

One of the chips to avoid is the TDA7377 or YD7377. Regardless of what output the seller may claim the stereo can achieve, the TDA/YD 7377 is only rated for 4 * 6W. The spec sheet for this amplifier chip can be found here:
http://www.e-ele.net/DataSheet/TDA7377.pdf
It will sound fine if you only have two speakers, but if you drive a car made after year 2000, your car will most likely come equipped with at least 4 speakers.

One of the good chips that I found is TDA7850. This chip can produce up to 30W * 4 under normal load and peaks at 50W * 4. Stereos with this chip is usually priced a lot higher. There are a few variants of the JSD-520 that comes equipped with this chip.

If the seller doesn't list any details regarding the chip, walk away.

3. ISO Plugs.
When shopping for cheap Chinese stereos, you will notice two distinctive wire harness plugs.
One is the generic aftermarket plug which looks like this:

The other is the ISO plug which looks like this:

The ISO plug has a built in fuse, which technically is a lot safer than the generic aftermarket plug. They are color coded the same way most of the time.
Most of the higher-quality car stereos will use the ISO plug, and it won't blow up your fuse box. It's always a good idea to look out for the ISO plug.

4. RCA Outputs.
If you are looking to hook up a subwoofer to your car then you will want a stereo that has at least one RCA output. The RCA output is usually un-amplified; however, the quality does depend on the amplifier IC. I have installed car stereos that have a generic, unbranded amplifier IC and the RCA output generated so much noise it blew up the external amplifier. Always look for an amplifier IC that is branded and have a detailed spec sheet online.

5. Dash Installation Kits.
Most aftermarket car stereos will come with this wrapped around the head unit itself.

You see the little metal tabs surrounding it? You're supposed to push the metal tabs so that it will lock into the dash installation kit, which looks like this:

The metal tabs are supposed to interlock with the plastic tabs.
It's usually not a snug fit, and most of the car stereos don't come with holes that aligns with the OEM stereo. to mitigate rattling issues, use foam or sealing tape to make sure that the stereo fits snugly in the dash.

Most older cars don't require a dash installation kit.

Source: I installed over 200 car stereos during the Summer.

I work for an elementary school to index kids based on their performance both indoors and outdoors. I designed the database along with all the relevant variables required to determine if a kid will go far in academic(and which directions), athletics(and which sports), or arts. None of the kids I have indexed are older than 7. We have a set of training data from about a decade ago that is painstakingly digitalized using OCR. We then run the training data through an ANN and the prediction data through the ANN to get predictions. Using the results of our predictions the school then decides what curriculum will best fit the child.

Sometimes I look at it and I wonder if the kid took a certain path because we have coerced him / her into taking the path, or if we have actually benefitted the child greatly because we were able to developed the child's full potential?

An interesting fact: delinquency is actually one of the variables we look at Athletic / Arts kids are more likely to be involved in delinquent behaviors, not saying that it's a definite variable, there are a lot more variables that we look at.

Used to be just fine going up the hill in 2nd but I have to actually down shift to first just to make it up the hill now.

Doesn't sound like a slipping clutch because the RPMs drop rapidly as I am climbing the hill and the engine starts lugging.

What car: 1994 Nissan Altima.

EDIT: Nevermind I forgot it was summer and I had the AC turned on all the time, turned off the ac and took the car out for a spin and everything was back to normal.

Hi all, asking on behalf of a friend who is traveling to Eastern Europe for business purposes. There is not much discussion on GSM cards for Laptops but he is just wondering if laptop GSM cards are region-locked as well, anyone have any recommendation for a GSM card that works across the globe with every 4G LTE band?

Windows 10 Home -> Pro Upgrade Question

My laptop comes preloaded with Windows 10 Home, and even if I use cap lanun Win10 Pro it still activates as Home edition.

My question is: If I purchased a Windows 10 Pro license, and activate it on my laptop.

Will it be upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for future installs as well?

I'm asking this because I believe my laptop has an OEM license which is tied to the mobo, will the Pro license overwrite that license or not?
