The slow boat from Lazada

Anybody else experiencing long delivery times from Lazada? No action as of today (27/7) by Urban Despatch

I notice that when the parcel reached a hub it will be left there for 2-3 days before departing to the next hub or out for delivery.

I've also ordered from Shopee and delivery times are normal

Item 1 - Packed 24/7 Delivered 27/7 (3 days)
Item 2 - Packed 21/7 Delivered 23/7 (2 days)
Item 3 - Packed 19/7 Delivered 22/7 (3 days)

Needless to say, I'm doing all my online shopping at Shopee now.

Here are some tracking screenshots to illustrate my point.
Confidence Tricksters

The past 8 month two people I know got scammed of tens of thousands. Both are elderly men in their 70s and very careful with their money. First case – My friend was approached in a shopping mall by a man who claimed to be from HK and did not bring enough money to buy an expensive watch. He asked for a loan which will be repaid with interest. Friend went to his bank and withdrew some fixed deposits for him. Lost RM25K. Second case – My uncle was approached in a hypermarket by a man who offered to sell him a new Toyota on the cheap. Took out RM40K savings for this “deal” and scammer abandoned him outside a Toyota showroom.

Help me to understand what was going on. The victims are elderly but still lucid. They are intelligent, educated people. They are both very stingy and careful with their money. It would be hard to wheedle a free meal out of them. Yet the scammers managed to gain their trust easily. When asked why they trusted a stranger with such large sums of money they admitted to a lapse of judgement but they can give no reason for it. Was some form of drugs involved administered non-orally? (No food or drinks were involved). Hypnosis? Charms? Or just a case of a very good talker preying on old men?
When is the best time to buy a used Conti car?

If you want to buy a used Conti car and intend to keep for 5 years how old should the car be to maximize your saving and minimize your maintenance cost? I know these are contradictory requirements but is there a sweet spot where you are likely to pay less over the whole ownership period and hopefully, less heartache? For example should I buy it at 3 years and use until it is 8 years old or am I better off buying a 5 year old car and get rid of it when it is 10 years old?

Of course mileage matters but to keep it simple lets say 1 year = 20k km which is average for Klang Valley use.

I know there is no "correct" answer but input from experienced Conti car owners will be useful.
