Parcel got detain in Custom

My parcel has finally arrived 2day... Pos Malaysia called me up and asked me to declare my parcel at the kastam... am wondering how much will i be taxed for clothings imported from China??

Seller told me that i wont be taxed for marine shipping as they covered all taxes imposed on marine shipping. And as i know, seller also did not include any receipts in the parcel. However, those are all new clothings which cost abour RM1.5k. These are all for personal use only, as my colleagues and friends combined shipping to save on postage...

Can i be exempted from being tax? Or can i declare a fake amount so i wont be taxed that much??? Are they gonna believe it since everything is from China??? Otherwise, everything's gonna be more expensive than wat we bought... which is not gonna be value for money anymore..

thanks!

Parcel from China

Hi all..

I seriously need your help here.

My friends and i had ordered some clothings directly from China manufacturer early December last year. The seller told me they had posted out my items on Dec. 18 using Marine shipping. Then they gave me a tracking number start with "C". I've traced it using http://www.track-trace.com/post and China post, it has already been sent out from GuangZhou on Dec. 29. I assumed that item has left China coz it was the last updated info I can get tru these site and also Pos Malaysia call service. I've also traced it using Pos Malaysia site and found that my parcel is under e-parcel. It stated that "PENGEPOSAN DI KAUNTER CHINA" on Dec. 25.

However, it's been more than ady since Dec. 18. Why is my parcel not here yet?? I tot it suppose to arrive ard 21 days to a month? I've emailed Pos Malaysia Service center on Jan. 18 and they told me they have clarify with the International Mail Processing Centre, KLIA that my item has not arrived within Malaysia yet.

I also knew that the tracking number will be changed to our local tracking number when it reaches Malaysia, but there wont be any record of the amendment. Meaning we buyer wont be updated with the new number. Tat's so ridiculous. How can they not keep a record so we can trace back n be informed the new number???

Anyone encounter this problem before?? How long it normally takes for marine shipped parcel from China to arrive actually?? Is there anyway I can get more info bout my parcel???? How can i know if it has arrive Malaysia??

I'm worried sick here coz avthing in the parcels cost more than RM1.4k. How am i gonna explain to my friends all these???

Please... anyone who have any experience before or know how to deal with please help me...

Thanks!
