Bootcamps?

Hi, currently a degree student in the computer science route, would like to ask forum sifus for opinion on bootcamps in Malaysia/Singapore if anyone has attended one.

I've been thinking that since just having a degree may not be enough in terms of industry's need, so plan to take bootcamp once graduate / during long semester breaks (but unlikely since most bootcamps are around 12 weeks)

Here's a few question that I have in mind and hope those who are experienced here wouldnt mind sharing your opinion/views

1) Anyone of you that have joined a bootcamp? If so which one, where is it located (if you dont mind sharing that is), and how much would you say you benefitted from the bootcamp, in terms of skills / knowledge / better programmer or developer / etc

2) What is a full stack developer? Seen many bootcamp offering these, but dont quite understand, (so far my understanding is that you combine several different 'languages' to develop a web service(?) with backend language + DB + front-end) if my understanding is wrong do enlighten me thank you

3) With so many specialize area that you can branch out to (Backend / frontend / open-source / mobile developer / web service / security / enterprise / cooperate / telecommunications etc etc), how did you choose what you are doing now?

I understand that these question arent really related to programming, but i think this subforum is more suitable for questions like this?

Upgrading old laptop HDD to SSD questions

Hello to all honorable sifus in lyn
My dad would like to keep his old laptop as a backup and has assign the in-house IT dude (me) to the task

As per title I'm thinking of swapping out the old HDD to a new SSD and let him taste the performance of a SSD

I've experience with building my own PC, and opening laptops before (but not swapping components like RAM and SSD)

just if

Will it work right out the bat if I swap out the HDD for the SSD? (like in PC just plug extra HDD/SSD to motherboard via SATA and check at bios or OS, but in this case no OS so check via bios)

Is there anyway to check if the laptop/mobo supports the SSD

The laptop model is Toshiba L645 i3 (probably first gen) and 4gb ram

I rarely take the BRT (twice so far, once when it was for free, then recently this week monday)

I saw on the BRT map that there's a LRT Kelana Jaya line logo on one end of the BRT station... May i know which station LRT station will be linked to BRT and if it has been built and started operations or not?

LRT/Monorail monthly/weekly pass is a joke?

So ayam and my friend did some calculations because no more 30 days unlimited travel pass, we found out that after the weekly/30days discount, it is more expensive than using it without pass (although it is just slightly but it is absurd when you're expected to save money when subscribing these weekly/monthly discount but instead the difference is negligible)

correct me if i'm wrong, but calculations are based on 20 days (monday - friday, 4 weeks, including return)

Not sure if this is where I should be posting, tried googling around but didnt help much

I've to send in my java programming assignments to my lecturers who runs on a different OS
but when he receives it all the lines are jumbled up compared to mine where all of them looks organized

hope some sifu's can give some guidance
