Excitement turns into sorrow

I bought my very first house for my own stay with 2 kids. I had some ideas in mind, spending within budget on simple and cosy home. In 2 months, I received a few quotes varied from foreign worker, goolged online, interior designer, traditional construction company and some recommendation from relatives and friends. It took me almost 2 months to shortlist them. I can't read their face which one is trustable. I had an agreement with landlord would move out by December. The clock was ticking so I had to rush to summarize the cost and those can commit on completion timeline. In the end I picked Michael Chong from Kah Yong Construction (found via tukang.com). I couldn't find any negative feedback from the web. The company sounds big, I presumed I would be safed from fraud. The contractor spoke softly that he had 30+ years in construction field and has a partner to run the biz. He adviced, small renovation like mine would hardly take < 45 days to complete because it would be a waste of resources if spend more time than that, I was convinced.

I just moved in new house, still in progress, about 2/3 of the requested jobs have completed.

Upon thorough checking, only realise contractor has messed up wall tile colors that end up the bathroom became dark. 90% accessories have been installed. I haven't made final part of the payment yet. What shall I do?

On top of that, there are lots a flaws , obviously the workers are not well trained.[attachmentid=5695628][attachmentid=5695630]

Hi,
Negotiator out there, for a basic unit house which is open for sale for > 6 months, the asking price is around 630K - 650K (assuming valuation price is 670K). How much discount shall I ask for?
