Hey Lowyat,

I have a Maxis Broadband package with Astro for a long while (Planning to discontinue the Astro soon ) and I have the modem for about 4 years. Lately, my modem has been shorting out quite frequently, with the wi-fi going off for a few seconds before coming back online. This disrupts sometimes my gaming session, as well as my parents' activity.

Question now is, what should I do? Should I buy a router or a new modem? If any new hardware needs to be purchased, which model should I buy?

Peugeot 308: Motherboard Problem?

Hello,

My Peugeot 308 recently couldnt start. Got kiss if life, but cant maintain it. Nearby mechanic said motherboard got problem, but very expensive. On top of that, need to change the module holder and the key holder because of chipcode. But if change motherboard dont need to change module holder and key holder.

How reliable is this mechanics' word, and what should I do now for best case scenario?

Help with Disabling Guest Network

Hi Lowyat.

I was looking to see if I can improve the connection for my Maxis Home Broadband, and while tinkering with the interface, I noticed I had a Guest Network :

I wanted to disable this network, but in doing so, my home network was also affected. Therefore, I want to ask a few questions :-

1. Can I disable the guest network without disabling the WLAN for my home network as well? If yes, how?

2. Does disabling my guest network improve my Internet Speed?

Hi there, I recently asked around for a good laptop for around RM2.5k before the GST kicks in and some recommend me the Lenovo Z50 (I think it comes with AMD Processor and AMD Radeon), and I was wondering are there any laptops similar to specs and budget like this?
