PPIM gesa logo khas bagi barangan berkaitan babi

Bukan sahaja berus cat berbulu babi, tetapi semua barangan yang mempunyai asas binatang itu perlu mempunyai "logo babi" dan label bagi mengelakkan kekeliruan di kalangan pengguna, terutamanya kepada umat Islam, kata Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia (PPIM).

Menurut pengerusi NGO itu, Datuk Nadzim Johan, pihaknya telah menerima aduan di mana pengguna Islam secara tidak sengaja terbeli produk yang mengandungi babi, oleh itu beliau mahu kerajaan mengeluarkan label logo khas berkenaan.

Selain berus cat, katanya, banyak produk makanan, kasut, peralatan dapur serta pakaian yang terdapat di pasaran juga mengandungi babi.

"Segala-galanya. Mereka harus mempunyai logo (babi).

"Kita juga akan takut jika kita terpakai jaket babi.

"Jika ada logo, apabila mereka (kedai) menipu (pengguna), (kerajaan) boleh mengambil tindakan. Jika tidak, tidak boleh," katanya pada sidang media hari ini di Kuala Lumpur.

Sementara itu, Bernama memetik Nadzim sebagai berkata, label dan logo itu bertujuan memudahkan pengguna mengetahui maklumat mengenai sesuatu produk dengan lebih terperinci dan mengelakkan kekeliruan terhadap pengguna.

"Sebagai pengguna kita perlu mempunyai hak untuk mengetahui dan hak untuk mendapatkan maklumat mengenai sesuatu barangan yang dibeli... kalau hak mendapat maklumat tak ada seperti sekarang maka ianya menyusahkan sebab kita tak tahu produk itu dibuat daripada apa.

"Ini bukan sahaja untuk kebaikan orang Islam tetapi juga untuk kaum lain kerana ada sesetengah bahan yang kita tak boleh makan bukan kerana halal atau haram, tetapi kerana alahan dan ada juga pengguna vegetarian, jadi setiap produk dan barang yang dijual kena ada logo dan mempunyai label," katanya.

Nadzim berkata sekiranya logo atau label dipamerkan pada setiap barangan yang dijual, ianya akan lebih memudahkan pengguna.

"Kalau guna kod dan label biasa tanpa menggunakan gambar, memang pengguna tidak akan tahu produk tersebut dibuat daripada apa. Tetapi kalau ada logo gambar, semua orang akan tahu dan mereka (pengguna) boleh membuat pilihan masing-masing," katanya.

Menurutnya kerajaan perlu tegas dalam menangani isu penggunaan produk yang dihasilkan daripada babi memandangkan ianya telah berlanjutan hampir 20 tahun.

"Sebenarnya, isu penggunaan babi memang dah lama dan kita juga turut menerima banyak aduan sejak 20 tahun lalu...apa yang paling dikhuatiri ialah makanan, dan apa-apa yang kita pegang terutamanya barangan seperti kasut, berus, tali pinggang, sarung tangan dan pelbagai lagi.

"Dahulu, kita boleh kenali barang yang diperbuat daripada babi dengan tanda tiga titik pada produk, tetapi sekarang barang yang dihasilkan daripada babi tak ada titik pun kerana perkembangan industri," katanya.

Nadzim berkata pihaknya juga akan mengadakan perbincangan dengan Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri, Koperasi dan Kepenggunaan (KPDNKK) minggu depan bagi membincangkan isu tersebut.

Semalam, KPDNKK menyita sebanyak 2,003 berus cat diperbuat daripada bulu babi benilai RM10,988.94 hasil daripada 157 pemeriksaan yang dijalankan di seluruh negara.

which states that such products must be labelled and separated from other goods,

Punishments for violations of the Minister’s Order are RM100,000 fines, three years’ jail or both for individuals, while corporations face fines of up to RM250,000.

“It does not make sense for us to keep sending paint brushes for tests at the laboratory before selling them.

“Just to be safe, I have also put up tags to inform customers that all my paint brushes are non-halal,” the 36-year-old was quoted as saying.

Chan said he might lose a few customers in the process, but he was willing to do so then to risk having his stock confiscated.

Subsequently, Muslim Consumer Association of Malaysia (PPIM) called for a logo to differentiate items containing pig-derived parts to inform the “not that smart” Muslim consumers.

Thousands Demonstrate Against South Korean President

Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Seoul on Saturday in the fourth straight weekend of protest against embattled President Park Geun-hye.

Park is resisting calls to step down amid an ongoing political crisis in which she is alleged to have let an old friend meddle in state affairs.

The scandal has rocked Park’s presidency and united Koreans in disapproval, culminating in a protest last weekend that saw a million people march on Seoul by some estimates.

Saturday’s protest was smaller as protest groups also organized demonstrations in regional capitals. Police said at least 155,000 people had packed into a central Seoul square early on Saturday evening for a candle-lit rally. Organizers said the number was 500,000.

Park has pledged to cooperate in an investigation into the scandal. Prosecutors are expected to bring indictments against Choi Soon-sil, Park’s friend at the center of the crisis, and two former presidential aides tomorrow.

Not all Koreans are calling for the president to resign, however. A short drive away from the main protest, a group of conservative protesters gathered outside Seoul station in defense of the president.

“Sixteen million people elected this president to office. It does not make sense to simply ask for her withdrawal,” said Geum Sang-chul, a 78-year-old pensioner and member of the Korean Veterans Association. Geum had joined a group of counter-protesters that police estimated at about 11,000-strong, while organizers said the number was higher.

“We can not give into the pro-North Korea supporters,” said Geum, using a derogatory term that Korean conservatives have for the more progressive wing of Korean politics.

Park’s approval ratings have been at a record-low 5 percent for the last three weeks because of the scandal over her friend.

Many of her remaining supporters, some of whom refer to themselves as “the five percent”, are loyal to Park’s father, Park Chung-hee, a military strongman who ruled South Korea for 18 years until he was assassinated by his spy chief in 1979.

Park Geun-hye’s popularity and election as president stemmed in part from the symbolic connection to her father, who is still revered by older generations.

“If they really care about the country, they should consider the country’s image,” said Lee Sang-soon, a 66-year-old pensioner. “I am troubled by how the country is portrayed abroad by these protests.”

But Park remains highly unpopular across the country. Tens of thousands of people also gathered for dozens of demonstrations in regional cities on Saturday night, Yonhap news reported.

High school students also joined the crowds in Seoul on Saturday, free to protest after finishing important national exams this week.

Official Bersih 5 Security Briefing

1. Stay away from agent provocateurs (even if they are wearing yellow t-shirts) and let BERSIH Security Team handle the situation. Avoid direct confrontation. They will be apprehended and handed over to the police. Form a ring around them and record their actions using video and/or photos.

2. We are there for a peaceful assembly. No weapons of any form should be brought nor should there be any destruction or defacement of properties. Again, anyone involved in such acts will be apprehended and handed over to the police.

3. Always follow the instructions of our authorised security volunteers. They will all be in our purple security t-shirts and carry a tag. When in doubt, call other security volunteers to verify their identity.

4. Should the police use pepper spray pellets to shoot at protesters, turn your back to them and quickly move away. Do not panic but follow the directions of the BERSIH Security Team.

5. We would also have clearly distinguishable placards to communicate with the crowd e.g. “UNDUR”, “SENYAP” etc.

6. Our assembly time on 19 November is from 10am to 6pm. Gather at the designated points at 10am or where there are large crowd of BERSIH supporters. Please disperse orderly after 6pm. The designated gathering points are Bangsar LRT (Dataran Maybank) and Masjid Negara.

7. In case of emergencies, our security teams will move you to the following evacuation points – KLCC, KL Sentral and Bangsar LRT.

8. Participants should not consume any drinks or food left by the roadside. This is to avoid poisoning by saboteurs.

9. We have independent observers, both local and international, who will be monitoring the BERSIH 5 rally. The medic team with 140 medical professionals and 6 ambulances are also on standby to assist in any emergencies. In case of an arrest, SMS your full name and IC number to our Urgent Arrest Team at 011-21376814 or 011-39376684.

1 ... If can use public transportation.. cab..
grab car..uber...or ask someone to send u...

2...Take alots of photos..take alot of videos of anything u find wrong doings...bring extra battery....powerbank and phone charger..

2.... Carry a small bag ( water bottle,mask,
sunglasses,salt,towel,extra tshirt and first aid materials like bandages,plasters..easy first aid kinda stuff la...)

3.... Very important.. walk in a large group..dont push one another...

4...Never provoke and never get provoked. Keep calm in all situations. Red Shirt will be there so what ever they do or say...we have to be brave and calm...

5...Wear normal shirt and change it once you join the group.

6...Don't be a rowdy..dont think your Maari..or Kabali ...this its not about gangsterism.its all about Bersih 5.

7...if tear gas is shot, check if anyone needs immediate help, if not cover your face and run..go to safe spot..wash with lots water and put salt under your tongue.

this morning house phone got a call (not from h/phone) ,.. saying from CIMB bank, they greet me with my full name... wanted to verify my account.. ask me to read my i/c number to him,... i said no,.. he shud read me the i/c he have for me to verify,... then he answer no, they shudn't, and keep insist me to read them my i/c ( in very polite manner ),.. i fuk kaw him about the logic,.. he then change his requirement to, me reading my CIMB account number instead,.. so i got rage,.. i fuk kaw him longer,.. then he politely dismissed himself and hang up,..
