RTX 2060 temps very high on full load

Hi, I've just upgraded my GPU from GTX 1060 3GB to GALAX RTX 2060 and I really like the upgrade I've been wanting for.

But the issue is that this card runs very hot to the point its fan is quite audible. I had to adjusr my fan curve so that it's not really loud but I'm quite concerned with the gpu temp. My cpu temp (Ryzen 5 2600 with stock cooler) usually hover around 65~75c on load.

On idle alone, gpu temp hover on 45c @ 300MHz clock while on load, it boost to 1800MHz @ 85c. I get this number from playing MHW.

Say is it normal for the RTX 2060 to be this hot? It certainly not with the previous gpu

Edit: Mistake were made on clock value, changed from 300Hz and 1.8MHz to 300Mhz and 1800MHz.

Win10 clean install but unable to update

Hi,

I have an issue where I've already clean install a Windows 10 Pro version 1703 (according to winver). Everything works as it does during the installation, the problem is right after it.

After the installation was done, I've been trying to update the windows through the windows update and possibly activate the windows as well as I'm using digital copy (free upgrade from win7 pro before) but it can't do anything at all. Even after the whole troubleshooting and stuff, it still won't work.

Here's the weird part, all my browsers don't have any problem browsing the internet and so forth. Steam installer and Megasync program also having problem to connect, which they failed to get any update.

Been doing the clean install for like 10 times already but still end up in the same problem.

Anyone can help me with this?

p/s: I do have my old windows in other partition, been using it since the upgrade and it doesn't have this kind of problem.

No proper display driver - Generic PnP Monitor

Hi, I need some help with my monitor.

I just bought a new monitor, Samsung S20D300NH/XM 19.5inch with VGA port only. So far the monitor works on my rig but only display up to 1366x678 where I read somewhere it can support up to 1600x900. After some investigation, it seems to use Generic PnP Monitor driver which I suspected this might be the problem. Searching through the net for suitable monitor drivers, no avail.

I don't think monitor is at fault because it do detected properly in AMD catalyst center but windows still using generic driver.

Here's my spec:

Monitor: Samsung S20D300NH/XM
CPU: AMD A10-7850k with R7 iGPU
Board: ASUS A88XM-A
OS: Windows 10 Pro

Issue with front panel audio

Hello,

Right now, I'm having some issue with my build. Whenever I plugged in my headphones to the fron panel audio jack, the back panel speakers didn't disable automatically. Instead, I get two audio output playing at the same time.

Switching with speaker to front panel one didn't solve it either. Already tried reinstalling audio driver from scratch, checking back the realtek control panel, check for any malicious files in my system, still the same problem.

Hoping you guys have a solution for my problem so here's my spec

AMD A10-7850k
ASUS A88XM-A Mobo
Armageddon T1X Nano Casing
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Need advice on a good GPU for my build

I recently build a very tight budget rig with this spec

AMD A10-6800K APU ( I chose this so I can save more money to buy better card)
ASUS A88XM-A Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury 1600 4GB x2 RAM
WD Caviar Blue 1TB
Aerocool KCAS 500W PSU

So now I'm planning to buy a decent dedicated GPU to be use in my build. I might replaced the APU with Athlon X4 when I have enough saving. I heard GTX750 and R7 260X work good with my build.

Any suggestion?
