D-Link DNS-320L vs Synology DS-213
I am planning to setup a home personal cloud storage and backup. 2pcs 1TB or 2pcs 2TB (still in middle of consideration) to fully utilize RAID 1 feature.
My main purpose of having NAS is to do cloud backup of my family member smartphone either in iOS / Android. It will also becoming my personal Media storage for streaming using supported DLNA player.
i found both of this device actually can fulfill my needs. it stated that DNS-320L actually have its own bittorrent client , is it the uPNP feature? it is the best that i can fully use the bt download client as well.

so my question is , since both machine can serve the same purpose, but Dlink DNS-320L is much cheaper than Synology DS-213, what makes consumer choose Synology? is there any other benefit that DS213 wins DNS-320L?
Can you also suggest which HDD to get? can both having different HDD?

HP 8500a setup with cordless phone (motorola)

Hi, I am not sure should i post this topic at this section, but i need support on my setup in my office,
I got a HP Officejet Pro 8500A, This printer basically is all in one function, I use it for the fax of course.
I also currently stick to UniFi, and they give us the Motorola Cordless phone.

So my question is, I always receive a fax call, but i won't know is it a fax call or voice call before i pickup the line, Is there a way that motorola cordless phone can enable me to transfer the fax line to the printer/fax when i heard the fax tone?
for example i pickup the call, i found it is a fax call, i immediately press some button and the call resume to the printer.

If you guys already found the way of working with it, i appreciate that you can share with me.

Thank you very much

PS: moderator, if this topic shouldn't posted here, please move to the right place for me, thank you moderator.

[addedon]July 27, 2011, 4:25 pm[/addedon]No one got idea how to setup?

Hi, I wish to know is there a way that i can limit a WIFI speed or bandwidth to the guest user, I am the owner of the broadband, but my roommate always use my wifi to access PPS or video streaming, where she like to open it and pause..... leave it and go anywhere she like... i feel this makes my whole internet speed slow like H*LL
I thought a way that i just limit the speed, so even she use whole day of streaming will not affect my job. Please advice. Thank you

Broadband provider
ISP/package: Maxis Broadband
Location: KL
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Ask me to call vendor, say is my PC problem

Personal equipment
Modem: HUAWEI E1762
Router:
Firewall used:

First of all, I just signed up for the Maxis Broadband, Package come with HUAWEI E1762 USB modem stick.
Like normal, I just plug in the modem to the USB port and let it install itself on my LAPTOP.

After successful installation and connection, we surf perfectly but after a while, there are prompt from my antivirus(NOD32) saying that there are infection on Conficker worms, i "terminate" it and it will prompt something like WIN32 or Window/system32 svchost.exe bla bla bla.... not sure what it is, it will keep prompt out for every minute and non stop,
Until i plug out the USB modem, my laptop will work perfectly, and no such prompt again.

I tried to put the modem to my office PC, but it doesn't show any sign of infection, just only when I plug in into my Laptop.

I tried to download some conficker removal software and scanner, but it seems liken not helping and the source are from the USB modem.

Anyone face this scenario before? how you solve it? Should i change the MODEM?

Thanks in Advance

BADMINTON Grip Type recommend.

Hi guys, recently i bought a Yonex Armotec 900 Power. But when using this new racquet, i keep hitting the head and not the string, sometimes when smashing hard.... i felt the grip vibration like my hand cannot handle. The shop owner actually didn't remove the original grip and said add a thin grip into it.

my question is, do i need to add a thick grip to reduce the vibration when smashing and better control?
actually thick and thin grip what different?
