Hi Guys, I am back!
Today I gonna share my new bought Powerline Extender from TP-LINK (again ).
The reason I bought this stuff home is because I was looking for something that really can enhance the Internet line and WiFi coverage. Not to blame my new Archer C2 router, its because my home as a triple stories house so even how good or powerful the router is, the WiFi is still can not reach to the top level of the building where my sister's room and who complaining wireless signal poor.

So, here it is! 300Mbps AV500 WiFi Powerline Extender Starter kit!
Also, not to forget to thanks the staff in Sri-Comm, Plaza Lowyat who recommended this product to me.

TP-LINK TL-WPA4220KIT Features:
• Wi-Fi Clone Button simplifies your Wi-Fi configuration and helps build a seamless unified home network
• HomePlug AV standard providing up to 500Mbps high speed data transmission over a home’s existing electrical wiring, ideal for lag-free HD or 3D video streaming and online gaming
• Extend 300Mbps wireless connections to previously hard-to-reach areas of your home and office
• Two Ethernet ports allow your TVs, game consoles, or PCs connect to the Internet
• Up to 300-meter range over the household power circuit
• Easy to install, just plug in and play
• 128-bit AES encryption easily at a push of "Pair" Button
• Supports IGMP managed multicast IP transmission, optimizing IPTV streaming
For more info please visit to: http://www.tp-link.com.my/products/details...l=TL-WPA4220KIT

What is inside the box?

• TL-PA4010 unit
• TL-WPA4220 unit
• 2 x RJ45 Cable
• Resource CD
• Quick Start Guide

[attachmentid=4361953]

Alright, let me share with you how it works, Powerline Extender is a device use to covert home power electrical circulation to become Lan cable, so it allow the Internet data can be transfer from router to your computer with lan or WiFi anywhere!
[attachmentid=4361969]

It is very simple to install the device that do not need any setting but a few steps:
Plug in the device (small one) to wall plug and connect router with Lan cable, then plug in the another [color=blue]device (big one) at any place or room that you want to enhance the Internet connectivity. Finally, press the pairing button at both device and press the WPS button at small device and WiFi router for copying SSID and password. That's all, just Plug and Play.
Referring to the user guide mention that the device can only be use to wall plug, but base on the salesman he told if the extension plug (normal) is without surge protector it will be no problem. So, yes it is works fine!
[attachmentid=4361823]
[attachmentid=4361825]

Actually the small device is called TL-PA4010 which use to connect WiFi router and the big one use to extender WiFi and Lan port (2x) connectivity at any place or room that you wish. The two Lan port can offer you a stable Internet connectivity for IPTV, PS4,IPCAM, laptop & desktop and more!
[attachmentid=4361850]
[attachmentid=4361852]

As you can see the map, there are 2 WiFi coverage exist in my house - 1st floor from router and 3rd floor from big device - WPA4220.
[attachmentid=4365320]

When come to the result:
This is wireless connectivity direct to router 1st floor from 3rd room that without Powerline Extension.
[attachmentid=4361923]

And this is the wireless connectivity with Powerline Extension.
[attachmentid=4361924]

Conclusion: Well, as you can see, when I connect the router at first floor from 3rd floor it only can get 3.88Mbps and line is unstable which will disconnect at most of the time! When I connect to the functioned Powerline Extender it provide me up to 10Mbps at most of the time!

TP-LINK ARCHER C2! (New)

Hi all, I guess that it is a good day and great to start my very first sharing in Forum Lowyat.
The great thing to be my first sharing is TP-LINK Archer C2 an AC750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit router.
For more information can visit: http://www.tp-link.com.my/common/Spotlight/Archer-C2.html

[attachmentid=4337338]

Recently I just upgrade my TM Unifi from VIP 5Mbps to VIP 10Mbps, as we all know if we are still using the wifi router provided in the package you will never get to enjoy the truly speed of the transmission, yes, very slow. Therefore, I plan to buy a wifi router and among the brands in the market, I pick TP-LINK as its reasonable price and 2 years warranty (1 to 1 Swap ). Due to I am a heavy user with gaming, Full-HD movie download (illegally) and I have a number of sibling who doing almost the same thing to me so my friend suggested me to pick a mid-end spec router ARCHER C2 that just launched online last week Lazada, iPmart and Lelong. SRP RM299, and I think it is reasonable and affordable, don't you think so?

Here a highlight from official website:
- Support UNIFI & Maxis Fiber.
- Support 2nd Generation WiFi technology IEEE 802.11AC (although i am not expert on this but I found that it is a pretty cool new tech from Google).
- 2.4GHz 300Mb + 5GHz 433Mb = 733Mb total wireless transmission speed.
- Dual detachale external antenna.
- USB sharing, easy to built up a small size file sharing point, sharing printer.

After all, lets start on setup!
It is very simple:

1. Connect the router to your computer/laptop by LAN cable then open any Internet browser to access 192.168.0.1 or tplink.net. When "Authentication Required" appear key in " admin" in both User Name and Password.
[attachmentid=4337339]

2. After enter the router interface, select Quick Setup → Next → choose Unifi Mode → Next. After all, fill in your TM UNIFI ID and Password → Next to proceed. If you do not have/forget the ID and Password, the only way is call TM Unifi lo 1300 88 1222.
[attachmentid=4337341]

[attachmentid=4337343]

[attachmentid=4337345]

3. Due to Archer C2 provide dual band wireless 5GHz & 2.4GHz, therefore it need to be done with twice setting on Wireless name (to be appearing on device search) and WiFi Password.
[attachmentid=4337348]

[attachmentid=4337349]

4.Yes, it is a final step! After setting up the dual band wireless Name and Passwords, the final step is to Reboot!
[attachmentid=4337350]

Woola! You can now enjoy the truly speed of the rate that you paid!
Who said so? If you don't believe me can you test it out with any app available in the app store: Ookla speedtest, Wifi speed test, Wifi analyzer and many more. The testing location was in my 2nd floor bedroom and the both router was connected from Ground floor living room. Lets watch over the result!

TM WiFi Router vs TP-LINK Archer C2
[attachmentid=4337352]

The result tested by WiFi Network Analyzer:
[attachmentid=4337353]
As you can see, the signal strength of Archer C2 is 6dBm [COLOR=red]higher than the TM Unifi routher and 2times[COLOR=red] higher on Link Speed!

Conclusion:
After a week, there is no disconnect issue on wireless connection and feels real good of saving my time from slow
loading on Internet browsing, gaming dc or video slow loading.

Here's an unboxing video for Archer C2 found on Youtube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anNX8yZPu58

[attachmentid=4336289]

2. After enter the router interface, select Quick Setup → Next → choose Unifi Mode → Next. After all, fill in your TM UNIFI ID and Password → Next to proceed. If you do not have/forget the ID and Password, the only way is call TM Unifi lo 1300 88 1222.

[attachmentid=4336292]

[attachmentid=4336311]

[attachmentid=4336296]

3. Due to Archer C2 provide dual band wireless 5GHz & 2.4GHz, therefore it need to be done with twice setting on Wireless name (to be appearing on device search) and WiFi Password.

[attachmentid=4336298]

[attachmentid=4336301]

4.Yes, it is a final step! After setting up the dual band wireless Name and Passwords, the final step is to Reboot!

[attachmentid=4336302]

Woola! You can now enjoy the truly speed of the rate that you paid!
Who said so? If you don't believe me can you test it out with any app available in the app store: Ookla speedtest, Wifi speed test, Wifi analyzer and many more.The testing location was in my 2nd floor bedroom and the both router was connected from Ground floor living room. Lets watch over the result!

TM WiFi Router vs TP-LINK Archer C2
[attachmentid=4336304]

The result tested by WiFi Network Analyzer:
[attachmentid=4336306]
