Customs Tax on Clothes - Help please!

Hello all,

I'm from the USA and shipped clothes worth 400 USD (140 USD shipping from USPS EMS) to my sister in KL who is there on student pass from Pakistan.

The shipment got detained in customs. I also left the tags on the clothes. (I didn't know malaysian rules until after I sent the shipment and found this forum).

How much can I expect the Tax to be?

The problem She and I are facing are that:

1.) She's a student there, that too international student, so she doesn't have a job, so no money to even afford tax. She couldn't even afford the clothes there in KL, which is why I shipped them to her.

2.) Just going from KL to KLIA and declaring there is hectic and an expense, plus bringing back a box weighing 30 lbs (15 kg) which will be heavy is another problem.

Any guidance on how much tax she can expect will be helpful, and ways to convince custom officer.

Thanks
