Some questions about SME Accounts/Bookkeeping

Hi everyone,

Want to ask for information and recommendation from your experiences.

Regarding tax filing for 2021, i am looking to outsource my sole proprietor's freelance accounting/bookkeeping service.

Some questions:

1. How much is the current market rate for yearly outsourcing account/bookkeeping services mainly for tax filing purposes?
2. Do you or do you know of any trusted companies/individual that can provide such services that you can recommend?

Thank you.

PKLG custom inspection?

Hi,

Would like to know if anyone is or has experienced what i am going through now and if you do not mind sharing with me your experience.

I have been using this same company to ship my goods from overseas by LCL sea. Although there may be some slight delay at times, but it has not exceeded 30days for item to ship from overseas by sea> reach malaysia port> clear custom> to warehouse > and delivered to my warehouse.

However, this time it has been over 50 days now, and when i check the tracking provided, it has been "Pending custom clearance" since 20days ago and no updates after that. I have asked the agent and the only info that he is providing is that "Container pending custom inspection".

When i request for more info, agent insist their team is queueing for custom inspection.

I am not able to check with the custom directly because i am not given the container number nor the K1 declaration form and the agent is not willing to provide them.

Has anyone been in this "Custom Inspection" situation? How long did it take for the custom to complete their inspection or what happened to your parcel/goods?

Due to the large capital amount(for me) in this shipment, it is quite worrying as i can only wait and hope and not able to check any further due to lack of info (agent do not want to provide, i assume they are worried that i look for other agents to assist).

Any input is appreciated.

Thank you.

Real Estate and decision making

Hello All,

Would like to ask for advises from all of you.

A short background of myself and my plan. I am 26 this year, have a full time 9-6 job, and 2 other so-call "income" which is a ecommerce business and investment.
My long term goal is to be financially independent, whereas my short term goal is to hit 13k monthly income minimum when i reach the age of 30.

And to be financially independent, i strongly believe that my salary should be base on my efforts and hard work and not be limited by people/organizations.

I have also started enrolling myself in a REA course which will take about 4 years to complete (including probation) to be able to fully graduate as a real estate agent. Which i believe that this real estate industry has much to offer if you really work hard in it.

I am now considering to resign from my full time job and look for a real estate agency to work in.
Several reasons for this quit:
1. My boss(CEO and COO) expects us to spend our off-work time and weekends to complete our tasks which i do not blame them for that. I dont mind doing so, but because I have my own business to manage, it is affecting me.
2. Income of current full-time job is assuring but limited by the company as i do not see financial(salary) growth base on my efforts.
3. More flexible time to grow other 2 business.

Financial - This will definitely affect me financially if i quit my full time job. But i do not have much commitments now and can still live by my 2 side incomes which were actually planned for this.

Risk wise, I am not sure if that real estate is my forte or this will work for me, but i think the risk of failing now would be better than failing 3-5years later where i may have more commitments. It it doesn't, i will explore other options and opportunities or go back to a full time job.
And if all turns out well, it will be a great experience and learning curve to prepare me as i become an agent.

At the moment, I have 0 experience and knowledge in real estate. That is why i am very indecisive.

I would like to get advises if this is a wise move to take or advises anything regarding real estate or whatsoever.
All comments and advises are appreciated.

Thank you

Investment for a frog in a well

Hi all,

To introduce a little about myself, I am of the younger millennial generation mid 20's, a rookie who just got exposed to the working world close to 2yearts as of now.
My goal which I set for myself since day 1 is probably in 5 years time to be independent. From family&friends and from my workplace/employer.

Hence to be independent, I have been trying(or am still doing) some side business/investments (online store/e-commerce, stocks, FD, agent for products, etc), mainly is to learn and to be exposed to the big ocean out there. Besides from my full time job, I am focusing alot of my extra time on e-commerce and hopefully it will gradually increase with more hard work and commitment.

Reason for me having this new topic is to request investing advise from you Gurus on which path you think is most advisable to go. I have been saving little by little and currently have a certain sum of money in the bank doing nothing. Though not much, but i have put aside a certain sum (approximately <30k) to start investing somewhere with long term ROI.

I am aware that there are many kind of investment methods out there but I am still a frog in a well and do not really know them. Therefore would like to request for inputs from you Gurus to open my eyes.
Currently I am considering to invest on property to be rented out. Would that be a wise decision in this current property market? As this is my first time going big(for me), I am very hesitant and afraid of the uncertainty.

Or would there be other investing methods besides property? Or rather how and what did you Gurus started investing on?

Seeking guidance from you experience Gurus.
Thanks & Peace!

[Question] Confirmation & Yearly increment

Hello all!
First of all I am unsure if this is where I should be posting.

I myself am an engineering fresh grad and just ended my work probation (6 months) beginning of this month December. Before joining the company, I was told that there will be an adjustment to my salary once confirmed therefore ignoring the fact that the monthly salary offered is below market value. Also the company's annual increment and bonus falls on January. Hence, now I am told that I may only get my salary adjusted once in January, disregarding one or the other and also may not get any bonus.

So my question here is this a normal practice and can/should companies do so?

*edit : i do agree and accept if no bonus is given. That's fair.
