Item(s): Spigen Neo Hybrid Gloss Black / Incipio Esquire Carnaby Grey / Ringke Air Prism Smoke Black

Package includes:

Spigen: Case + original packaging. Case has also been modified: Original glossy coating was slippery and a fingerprint magnet. I have brushed it for a matte look which is also much more grippy. Selling it because I'm not enjoying the all black look.

Incipio: Case + original packaging. Used on two occasions, very solid and gorgeous looking case but a little too bulky for me.

Ringke: Unopened and untouched. Full original packaging.

Price:
Spigen: RM80
Incipio: SOLD!
Ringke: RM50

Prices are inclusive of PosLaju!

Warranty: none

Dealing method: PosLaju or COD in Penang/Kedah area

Location: Penang/Kedah

Contact method/details: PM me
---

Item(s) conditions: As stated above

Picture:
Incipio Esquire Carnaby
[attachmentid=9656040]
[attachmentid=9656041]
[attachmentid=9656042]

Spigen NeoHybrid
[attachmentid=9656043]
[attachmentid=9656044]
[attachmentid=9656045]

Ringke Air Prism
[attachmentid=9656047]
[attachmentid=9656050]

Reason for sale: As above

New Speakers or Headphone Amp?

Hey guys,

I got a budget of around RM300. I'm using an Asus G55, but it's pretty much a desktop setup with my monitor hooked up. I was using an Edifier E3300, but to be honest, I regret purchasing that set of speakers and I've sold it off already. Unfortunately, my backup set of China speakers (Sansui) are faulty, so I'm currently using my V-Moda Crossfade LPs. I know, they're not the most popular headphones as far as audiophiles are concerned, but with a little EQ-ing, they match a few other Sennheisers and AKGs that I used to have, so I'm happy with them.

Anyway, on to my problem. I have been looking at the FiiO E07K, E10 and the iBasso DZero for a while now. I think I mostly need a DAC, as the Crossfades are quite easily driven, but I'm not at all happy with the Realtek audio card in my laptop, which is why I'm looking for a USB option. But now, I've also got a need for a speaker. Been looking at the Edifier HCS2330, M3300SF and Logitech Z523.

Also, if I got the DAC/Amp, would they work as a good line out for any speakers I get in the future?

TLDR; DAC/Amp (FiiO E07K, E10, iBasso DZero) or desktop speakers (Edifier HCS2330. M3300SF, Logitech Z523)?

WPA not possible on Streamyx router?

Broadband provider
ISP/package: TMNet
Location: Melaka
Have you called your ISP's helpline?: Nope, but I doubt they could help.

Personal equipment
Modem: Innacomm W3400V6
Router:
Firewall used:

Problem details
First occurence of problem: Since getting it.
Problem frequency: Randomly, but a couple of times a day.
Problem description: Hey guys, my Asus rig which is on Windows 8 frequently gets problems trying to connect to my home network. It sometimes connects, and then the connection drops and becomes limited. Or sometimes it just refuses to connect, returning a "Cannot connect to this network" message. It happens completely at random.

I knew it wasn't an issue with the router, because all my other devices can connect fine, including my old Alienware which is running Windows 7, and my housemates computers also have no problem. But I didn't think it was my laptop either, because I could connect to other wireless networks just fine. After some googling, I discovered that Windows 8, especially those on a Qualcomm Atheros wireless adapter, often had problems with some WEP encryption devices. I tried everything I could think of, but nothing worked.

But I had only resorted to WEP because the router setup only provided a "Quick Setup", with WEP being the only option. I thought I had figured it out when I tried plugging my router into my laptop with a cable in order to try to set it up manually, but that wasn't possible either. The only option was still Quick Setup and its WEP encryption.

So my question is this: is it possible to configure WPA on this particular modem? Or flash an alternative firmware that allows it? A quick search on google gave me no answers, so I'm turning to you guys for help. This problem is driving me crazy.

Thanks guys.

Hey guys,

I bought a GreenAire air purifier/humidifier on Tuesday, and when trying to switch it on today, I find that it no longer works. It simply refuses to power up, and I've checked the cable and plug, so I'm pretty confident that it's an issue in the product itself.

Now the thing is, I got this little thing on a promotional offer. It came with two bottles of aromatherapy solution at a discount. Is this going to make it difficult for me to get a refund? And yes, I'm quite set on getting a refund. I will not accept a product that died within 2 days of purchase, that's simply ridiculous.

Thanks for any help.

I will always remember both the original and the sequel as one of the most fun and stylish FPS games I've ever played. The dark, gritty scenes, the hoarse voiceovers, the neverending blizzard. It was a game noir, and it kicked ass.

Now he's a bald, bearded, buff man in South America.http://pc.ign.com/articles/100/1006035p1.html

I really don't know what to say... I understand the developers wanting to keep the series fresh. But this is a little too much. Hell, it's way too much.

I think there was a thread here a long time ago for Alienware owners, but that died out. And since the Alienware with the m17x has now officially landed in Malaysia (through Dell, true, but it's still Alienware nonetheless), perhaps it's time to revive it.

For all those interested in getting the new revision of the m17x! Dell's Alienware m17x

Alienware's current mobile lineup:

Alienware Area-51 m15x 15.4" Laptop
The one and only 15" laptop in Alienware's lineup.

Hey guys, anyone given the new 186.03 driver a whirl yet? It seems to be the most stable of the 18x drivers so far. Too many of the previous ones had problems. I haven't tested it extensively yet, just wanna know if anyone else here has tried it. Oh and btw, to BenQ users, I think this new driver doesn't support the switching of graphics cards, so install at your own risk. Check the list of compatible laptops before downloading, guys!

Help me decide

I'm going to get an Alienware m15x laptop. Now it'd down to two configurations.

A) Intel C2D T9300 @ 2.5GHz (6MB L2 Cache) + ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870

B) Intel C2D T8300 @ 2.4GHz (3MB L2 Cache) + nvidia 9800M GT

They both cost roughly the same, with option B being slightly more expensive but not out of my budget. Now the question is, is that extra 3MB of L2 cache going to affect me when gaming? And also, how much better is the 9800M as compared to the HD 3870?

Thanks for all the help, all the benchmarks I've found on the internet are either gibberish or unreliable.

[addedon]March 13, 2009, 12:32 pm[/addedon]No one?

It's not a gaming product, so I didn't want to put it into the gaming keyboards thread. Pretty good looking keyboard, quite a high price though. I wouldn't mind snagging one for myself.
There are several criteria for best. It can be cheap, best response time, best reliability, best warranty, best contrast, etc etc. It could just be damned good in one of those categories, or quite good in several. I'm looking for one, so any suggestions would be welcome.
Why do we need DDR3?

Something just occured to me. When using RAM, it's best to have it's frequency match that of the CPU, such that the ratio is 1:1. So let's say my processor is running at 333 FSB, and my RAM is DDR2 667 (which translates to 333 actual frequency), I would have 1:1 ratio, which is optimum. Now, assuming that what I just said was right, what is the point of the insanely high frequencies of DDR3? Up to 1800MHz, divided by 2 that's 900. It's impossible for any PC to match that kind of frequency. So, what's the point? Or is it effective when running at some other ratio, like 1:2?

How's this rig?

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 - RM1100
Sapphire ATi HD 4870x2 - RM1750
Corsair DDR-II 1066 4GB - RM500
1 x 150GB Seagate HDD - RM150
2 x 500GB Seagate HDD - RM500
Asus P5Q Deluxe - RM550
Razer Barracuda AC-1 - RM600
Cooler Master Extreme Power 650W - RM300
Casing + Fans - RM500

Total - RM5950

What do you say, sifus? I think maybe the processor can swap for T8400 and OC to save some cash. But other than that, how is this rig? I want it to last for at least a few years and be fairly overclockable.

Software to overclock RAM?

Hey guys, I'm running my rig on a DP35DP Intel Motherboard. And the most I can overclock my E6850 is 3.2GHz. Using Orthos, I've identified the RAM as the problem. Because I'm using an Intel motherboard, I cannot adjust the frequency of the RAM from BIOS. I've been using SetFSB to OC my pc. Is there any other way to tweak my RAM? Otherwise I've hit a brick wall.

Do you guys know of anyone who could do something like that? I want to customise my headstock with some designs instead of leaving the generic logo there.

Thanks.

Shipping Pedals To Malaysia

I was looking for distortion pedals on eBay and I found a Boss DS-1, but the seller ships internationally except to Malaysia and a few others. Is there any particular ban or restriction on guitar pedals in Malaysia?

I'm getting an EMG 81 for my LTD Viper 50, and I'm wondering if it can be connected to the basic 250k pots if I leave the tone and volume knobs at 10? What effect will it have on my sound?

Thanks.
