computer cant boot

on thursday before i went out for work, i swich off my computer. when i'm back, i just cant switch on it, i open the case and notice the LED on the board is not on, so i try with a different power cord and different power socket but none of them work, so i assume the PSU is spoilt, and i try to fit in with a cap ayam PSU just to test it out, plug in the 24-pin and 4-pin on the mobo and on the power, supprisingly the LED is on, switch on the comp and proc harddisc all running. no video cuz my mobo dun have onboard video and the psu just dun have enough juice to run all my system. and so i send the PSU to shop to test, it works... i was puzzled at there.. so when i reach home and plug in the oriiginal PSU.. this time the LED on the mobo is blinking.. i'm stuck here.. any ideas ?

this is my spec of my cpu btw:

Proc: INTEL E8400 3.0Ghz 1333FSB 6MB cache
Mobo: ASUS P5Q SE PLUS
HDD: SEAGATE 500MB
GC: GIGABYTE GTS250 1GB
PSU: CM Extreme Power 500W (360W)

hey guys... i want to buy a new laptop on tmr or sunday or a week later..

so far i've cut down my choices to these two models with the budget of RM4k

Dell XPS16 n Sony CW16FG

the specs for dell is almost the same with the sony just the LCD and GPU diff

16" wide for Dell and 14" wide for Sony

1GB Radeon HD4670 n 512MB Nvidea GT 230M

what is ur opinion ?

any pros and cons between these 2 brands?
