GPU driver doesnt detect card

v2: Sorry if new thread, the old problem diff from now

Latest Update : Let me go step by step what i've done.

1. Bought new GPU, does not work with current mobo. Always power cycle, when on the pc doesnt boot, just power on off.
2. PSU got enough juice, and other devices works ok. So i suspected either the GPU or the Motherboard too old cant support.
3. Based on forummers suggestions, tried the GPU on friends pc, cable connected through the GPU can work and enter windows.
-Now here's the tricky part: Since he using ATi card with latest update, it shouldnt be a problem detecting this card also rite? But even when the GPU can be used to display, its not detected as HD5750, but as VGA display.

4. I changed my mobo, so now can work with my pc already. However, same problem like my friends pc, when i try installing the driver from the CD, or even the latest driver from ATI, the catalyst software doesnt detect the GPU.

What else can i do ? Is it confirmed the GPU faulty? Just bought new wan, possibly DOA?

Guys, problem solved d

I get so frustated i just created a new installation in a diff partition (win7 64bit) and it works perfectly!

But this problem occur quite frequently with ATI drivers since the ati forums are full of this kind of problem.

Thankfully it's all sorted out now! Really happy! Only now have to reinstall the games into this new OS
