Jho Low was present at 1MDB board meeting, took call from Najib — witness

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 12): Low Taek Jho, the fugitive businessman better known
as Jho Low, had attended a 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) board meeting 12 years ago and even took a call from then prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak while at the meeting, the High Court was told today.
Kelvin Tan, who was 1MDB’s director of business development at that time, said he had taken the minutes of the board meeting held on Sept 26, 2009. Testifying in the audit report tampering trial involving Najib and former 1MDB CEOArul Kanda Kandasamy, Tan said apart from the board members, Jho Low’s associate Casey Tang and himself were also in attendance.
The witness was then shown two separate sets of meeting minutes, one which he prepared that had the name of Jho Low in attendance and one which did not.
“I was not aware that there was another copy of the minutes which omitted Jho Low’s name until I was shown it by the MACC when they questioned me,” he said.
Tan also testified that 1MDB director Tan Sri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin had questioned why Jho Low was attending the meeting.
“I recall that he (Jho Low) said that he had a role [to play] with the board of advisers [in 1MDB] when he was questioned by Lodin… I was surprised he was there,” Tan said.

During cross-examination by Najib’s lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, the witness recalled that during the meeting, Jho Low had also received a phone call from Najib.
He said Jho Low had then passed the phone to then 1MDB chairman Datuk Mohd Bakke Salleh, who he said seemed surprised that Najib was on the line.
Shafee had asked Tan to recall if Jho Low had done anything significant at the meeting.

Shafee: I have to push you a little bit on this. Jho Low must have said something [at the meeting] otherwise I don’t see why he would attend.

Tan: I recall that he got a call from Najib and he passed the phone to Bakke, and he was surprised that it was the prime minister on the phone.

Shafee: What made you remember him passing the phone?

Tan: It was the look of surprise on his face.

Former auditor-general Tan Sri Ambrin Buang previously testified in the trial that Jho Low’s name was not mentioned in the final 1MDB audit report undertaken by the National Audit Department (NAD) due to the omission of the fugitive businessman’s name in the board meeting minutes.
Ambrin also testified that Bakke was willing to drop Jho Low’s name as one of the attendees of the board meeting during the infamous Feb 24, 2016 meeting where the amendments were made.
The 1MDB audit report was prepared by the NAD for the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in 2016. It was reported that the amendments were made following the Feb 24 meeting attended by, among others, former chief secretary to the government Tan Sri Ali Hamsa, Ambrin, Najib’s former principal private secretary Tan Sri Shukry Salleh, and Arul Kanda.

The final 1MDB audit report was presented to the PAC on March 9, 2016.

PADAH KERANA INGKAR PERATURAN

Sebanyak 10 premis penjajaan telah dikenakan tindakan penguatkuasaan oleh DBKL pada 2 Ogos 2021 kerana melanggar peraturan yang ditetapkan.
Tindakan sitaan dan membuka struktur telah dilaksanakan oleh 14 anggota penguatkuasa DBKL di Jalan Prima Setapak 2 dan Jalan 14/27B, Desa Setapak, Wangsa Maju.
7 tindakan sitaan dilaksanakan di bawah Sek 46(1) Akta Kerajaan Tempatan 1976 kerana halangan barangan perniagaan di atas petak parkir dan jalan.
Manakala 3 sitaan lagi di bawah UUK3(1) UUKPPG 2016 kerana melibatkan penjaja warga asing. Siasatan dan semakan oleh DBKL mendapati warga asing ini menyewa daripada warga tempatan dengan kadar RM25-RM35 sehari bergantung kepada keluasan tapak.
Kesemua barang sitaan telah dibawa ke Stor Sitaan DBKL di Jalan Lombong, Cheras.
Tindakan seumpama ini akan diteruskan dari semasa dan kesemasa oleh DBKL berpandukan kepada SOP yang ditetapkan.
Wargakota diminta untuk terus menyalurkan maklumat kepada DBKL bagi membantu menangani aktiviti ini menerusi laman sesawang adu@kl.dbkl.gov.my.

Yesterday I worked beyond OT time just to do these documents before I ciao ~
Our company practice, who come in earliest need to pass the docs to relevant departments

I wfh today but get summoned to come in afternoon to work
Upon arrival checked email, n saw email from small boss asking y the documents not done

I went to check with earliest person arrived today n she said "oh, I x antar" without specific reason... N the second earliest also didn't...

I told small boss in the end kena diao coz the docs my name...

Damn... When got credits one team, when got blames... ME

What to do with such koliks?

Koliks Positive Ep 2

As per previous thread, Koliks Positive, I am disappointed with some of my koliks who wanna be secretive about this

KOLIK WANTAN A

Kolik A was diagnosed positive which I knew about it as she was there to report to my boss when she knew her family was positive... so on the spot she went home n did the test....
Upon we knew it, we took precautious steps.

KOLIK WANTAN B

I had no idea Kolik B was also quarantined as I was under lockdown for 2 weeks....
When I came to office... Kolik B no longer be seen, no notice, n other wantan koliks were secretive (one wantan kolik said she not going to tell me, which I did not knw what she talking about) till boss let us know in whatshapp group that Kolik B was also positive

I even went to look for document at her workplace

KOLIK WANTAN C

Kolik Mandarin M told me via phone that she heard Kolik C and Kolik B gathered together during praying n reminded me to be careful. After the call, I had a deep thought virtually tracing the contact of Kolik C.

She borrowed Kolik Oren D's PC the day she was here and Kolik Oren D used my PC to look for document before

I cleaned my keyboard n mouse afterwards despite late a bit

Kolik Oren D confessed he met a fren who was positive before
They went to buy durians
Upon Kolik D knew his fren positive via fren, he questioned his fren and his fren said he got positive from a person he met after he met Kolik D. He concluded Kolik D is safe

Is Kolik D really safe?

Received email from HR the total cases of staffs were positive in past few consecutive days
In the end, boss of boss called for a virtual meeting to remind us to adhere to the SOP from KKM and she said this is not a cluster

After the meeting, i asked Kolik Oren E to report to KKM and he said "dh report dah, KKM bs kata bole keja"

I was like dafuq, how now.... n went resume our slave works

What to do when KKM said can work?

HR asked the rest of staffs come to work like usual on Monday

Not to mention a number of staffs from other departments also positive as we received emails from HR for few consecutive days

Ayam complaining to another awek kolik n she mentioned company don't give a damn on us... We are topglove No 2...
