Place the pallet vertically left and right and adjust the space btw them accordingly.

2. Then just insert the pine block in between of the pallet gap and you're done.

We decided to have 2 shelfs for the tv cabinet to accommodate our kids gaming console.

more pics and details -> http://kerjakayu.my/forum/13-show-off-hasi...recycled-pallet

diy playhouse for 4 year old daughter

there's an empty space in my daughter's room at the window

the wife said why dont we build the playhouse since my 4 year old daughter loves to play cooking stuffs and other girly stuffs.

the hunt for material end up with main 4 pallets wood panel which meant for box and other stuffs.

what i did?

a. measure the width(110cm) btw the wall and cut 2 woods to perfect fit

b. place each pallet panel on both side of the wall

c. nail the 2 wood above the pallet panel to hold them firmly

d. put the 3rd panel in front as the front wall and nail them too from top. for side joint, i use L bracket to stabilize them from moving front and backward.

e. now comes to the roof part...just place 4 smaller pallet wood panel until they form a nice roof. screws between them so it will not fall down.

f. i have an ikea bed divider for kids that prevent them from falling from the bed. use them as the fence as deco since the length is right with the front wall.

more pics and details -> http://kerjakayu.my/forum/13-show-off-hasi...er-playhouse#33

diy kitchen cabinet using recycled pallet

Our rented house was empty so we need a kitchen cabinet. Simple one will do so I decided to diy them using recycled pallet.

with me, i have used stolmen shelf that being unused for quite sometime. So I plan to use this as my kitchen worktop later instead of building them using pallet wood.

Process done:

1. cut 2 x pine block to 83cm height. why 83cm? its the same height as my house kitchen sink.

2. slice/cut both pine block in the middle so they become into 2 pieces each. You end up will have 4 pcs to be used as the cabinet leg/frame.

3. cut 4 pcs pallet wood to 46cm to be used as the side frame support. 46 cm is the width of kitchen sink.

4. cut 2 pcs pallet wood to 106cm to be used as front and rear frame support.

5. screw item no 2, 3 and 4 above so that they will make u the ractangle kitchen cabinet's frame. The frame support should be one near the bottom and the other one with the same level of the top frame edge.

6. once done, place the stolmen shelf on top of the frame.

7. viola!! I have a simple pallet kitchen cabinet.

8. next, cut around 10 or 11 pallets with 46cm in length.

9. place them side by side on top of the bottom frame support so u will have a shelf at the bottom of your kitchen cabinet.

10. Done! End of part 1.

Part 2, I plan to have a second shelf in the middle of the kitchen cabinet.

Part 3, to built the pallet kitchen cabinet doors!

more pics and details can at http://kerjakayu.my/forum/13-show-off-hasi...chen-cabinet#32

diy workstation using recycled pallet

I've decided to diy the workstation using recycled pallet and this workstation to be placed under the staircase which was not utilized earlier.

For the time being, I plan not to finished the workstation with any varnish/paint/stain. Also I didn't cover the nail hole with wood filler upon dismantling the pallet previously. Just like the raw look!

Material used :

1 pine board (2.3ft x 5 ft)
4 x pine block (5cm x 9cm)

Steps done:

1. cut half the pine board to make 14inch wide. with this wide, u will get 2 same sized pine board later.

2. cut the pine board to 4 feet length. Also to remove the both damage edge to get only the even surface surface

3. cut the pine block to 72cm length. why 72cm? mostly ikea table use this height or 70cm.

4. screw the L-bracket to all 4x pine block and the pine board.

5. done!

*Part 2 coming soon for the other half unused pine board.

More pics and details at http://kerjakayu.my/forum/13-show-off-hasi...ycled-pallet#31
