Problem with Xporter Boost XT USB Flashdrive

Hey all,

i need some help with my pendrive, but im not sure if its hardware related or driver issue etc. Ive recently bought an Xporter Boost XT 32GB pendrive. When i transfer some files into it, say a movie, it works fine. But when i try to delete the file from the pendrive, at first it appears as it has been deleted, the file is gone. but if i right click on the drive and check properties, the "Used Space" shows that the movie file is still there, ie. not deleted. For example i deleted a 174MB sized TV series, but that 174MB is still shown in the "Used Space" of the USB. Also, if i refresh the drive, the movie file appears back! Now when i try to delete it for the 2nd time, it gives an error and the message is something like "unable to do so, file is in use". Because of that i also cannot "safely remove" the pendrive and have to plug it out directly. The only way i can clear the files in it is by plugging it back, and format the pendrive all over again.

From what it sounds, seems like my computer cannot finish deleting the files in the pendrive? which causes the space is still occupied (174MB) and when trying to remove the device safely it says device is in use, probably meaning the "delete" process is still ongoing. Im running windows XP btw, if that is a factor on the performance of this pendrive? Otherwise i really do not know what to do, like i said i do not know if this is a driver issue, or incompatibility etc etc.

Hope someone with a general idea of this issue can help me, because i really do not want a good USB device with a big storage space turns into a problematic one. Please request for more information if needed. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I just tested it with a couple of other files, it seems like it only affects movie files, particularly .avi. When i transfer a word document in and delete, and a folder with MP3 musics in them, they delete just fine. I also transfered in an .mkv video and that seems to delete fine as well. Then i did some googling and read about this:

http://www.softwarepatch.com/tips/howto-delete-xp.html

QUOTE

If the file is an AVI, in particular a DivX AVI, try renaming it and then deleting it. DivX files don't get on very well with Windows XP and sometimes renaming the file can trick Windows into releasing it.

Seems like generally theres problem with XP and avi? but doesnt make sense because i can delete files from other USB devices, as well as my other hard drives as well.

Hi peeps,

i was wonderig if any of u guys have a link to a story about Tuzki the rabbit?

Im sure you guys know the emoticons, but what i am looking for is they use the GIF images and make it into a story of a student's life. Like how the student will sleep and party until last minute, then realize exams coming soon and start last minute studying. Been Googling it but cant find any, thanks!

Problem with sidebar view in Firefox

Hi guys, im not really sure if this is the right place to post this question, so Mods do put it in the appropriate section if i am wrong.

Anyway as the title suggests, i'm having a problem with the view of the sidebar for my blogger's blog. as of now, it looks something like this:

Seems like the sidebar only starts after the main body finishes.

However, it looks fine in Safari and IE, here's a screenshot i took from Safari

And this problem in Firefox only happens in the main blog page, example abcde.blogspot.com . When i visit one of the posts individually, example abcde.blogspot.com/2009/10/12345.html, the sidebar looks perfectly fine:

I believe its something to do with the HTML template, but it seems like each time i manually change the sidebar's width or main body's width the change effect can only be seen from Safari and IE, from firefox it just looks the same, like no change done.

Previously i hooked my 22 inch monitor to my laptop so din realize this issue, but once i bring my 13 inch laptop for a vacation, i noticed this issue and i believe any visitors to my blog would be seeing this as well if their laptop screen aint big enough.

Anybody know how to fix this issue? probably an issue with the HTML template itself not compatible with Firefox? that's a default Blogger template btw, and i do prefer not to mess around with it because heck of a job to start all over again any code that i can add into the template to fix this? any help is gratfully appreciated

Guitar cable adapter

I have just gotten a new electric guitar. Currently i am playing it while attaching it to a, of course, and amplifier. But i was thinking, if i were to go back for holiday (I am in Aussie now), i cant possibly bring my amp, cant i? so i am looking for that adapter, so i can easily connect my guitar to any microphone hole on a computer etc. and then can play it through any avilable speaker. Anyone know where i can find it? preferably from an online store, or ebay. If anyone has it and want to sell it, i'm looking for that too.

Thanks!

i was trying to mod my w700i, using this link:

http://www.thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54672

while doing it, i found out the FAS Manager isn't working, so i asked the TS what's the problem.
