Cross protest: No permit needed for churches to operate out of shophouses, says state exco member

PETALING JAYA: A permit is not required for churches to operate out of commercial premises or offices, says Elizabeth Wong (pic).

In a press statement released on Tuesday evening, the Selangor executive councillor said since 2008, all churches need to do is to send a notification to the state Committee on Non-Islam Affairs (Hesi).

"This is based on the principle that Article 11 of the Federal Constitution embodies freedom of worship.

"Therefore, today's statement by the MBPJ public relations officer, as reported in a newspaper that churches in office blocks need to apply for permits is not accurate," she said.

On Tuesday, MBPJ officers classified the church in Taman Medan at the centre of the "cross protest" as unlicensed as it had not submitted a written application to operate as a place of worship.

It also said that the church at Metro Square PJS2B/3 had no permit to put up a cross on its building.

Wong said there was no such policy as stated by the committee, and just a notification to them sufficed.

"If any local councils have any issues or questions, they are to refer it back to Hesi.

"There are, however, existing guidelines on stand-alone non-islamic buildings of worship which cover land applications, land conversions, buildings, demolitions and applications for funds," she said.

Wong said the state government found the forcible removal of the Cross abhorrent to Christians and the Federal Constitution which enshrined the freedom of worship.

"In the meeting, we advised the Church to return the cross to its original site to stop this precedent of mob rule by politically-aligned extremists.

"At the same time, we call upon the Royal Malaysian Police to take this matter very seriously in order to ensure the safety of worshippers are protected at all times and there will be no repeats of such cases in Selangor," said Wong.

ok. Since Cherly want to question Albert and Bernard, means the girl wont let them directly or indirectly to know the answer. So May 19 june 18 have to be eliminated because if not eliminated, then bernard can directly know the answer. June also cannot be because that will directly let Albert to know the answer is june 17 if albert were give as june. It serves no purpose if can directly know the answer.
At first i tot after eliminated everything, means aug 17 should be the answer but also not the case. Because if bernard was told 17, then he also can indirectly or directly knowing its august 17 because May 19, june 18 and june 17 will be automatically be eliminated.

Mahathir: Declare your support for 1MDB and RM42bil debts

PETALING JAYA: Those supporting the Prime Minister should also declare their support for the controversial 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

The former prime minister said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s supporters should also support Low Teik Jho – also known as Jho Low – who purportedly managed 1MDB’s investments.

“As a result of the exposure regarding the Altantuya case and 1MDB, Najib is now getting pledges of support from Umno division heads, Barisan Nasional, MIC, senators and all kinds of groups. This is what the mainstream press reports.

“I am not asking anybody to support me.

“But I am going to ask all those who support Najib to declare that they all support his 1MDB, 1MDB borrowing RM42bil and his inability to answer where the money is,” he said on his chedet.cc blog yesterday.

Dr Mahathir also asked Najib’s supporters if they supported keeping billions of ringgit in the Cayman Island and the explanation that the money could not be brought back to Malaysia because Bank Negara would ask “too many questions”.

“Do you support the purchase of government land in KL at a far below market price, re-valuing it to make it your asset while buying power plants from the private sector at well above market price?” he wrote.

Dr Mahathir said he had asked Najib simple questions, but instead of answering them, he claimed that the Prime Minister had asked people to support him.

“I would like to ask the supporters whether their support means that the disappearance of RM42bil is okay, that there is no necessity to at least explain [where the money is.

“If you do, go tell (Tun) Daim (Zainuddin), Tengku Razaleigh (Hamzah), (Tan Sri) Shahrir Samad and Khairy Jamaluddin to shut up,” he said.[/B]

Dr Mahathir: Many scandals surrounding Najib

PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) says that he is still an Umno member, but his disagreement is only with the leader, and not the party.

In an article posted on his blog, chedet.cc on Tuesday, he said that his criticisms against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is simply because he wants to see the party win in the 14th general election.

“It will not win if Najib is the leader. I had great hopes when Najib took over from Abdullah (former premier Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi).

“But he (Najib) did even worse than Abdullah, losing more badly in Selangor where he was Umno head.

“There are so many scandals surrounding him (Najib) now. His popularity is now even lower than when he led Barisan Nasional (BN) in 2013.

“He also wanted to abolish the Sedition Act as demanded by the Opposition. If Umno did not object, the Sedition Act would have been abolished. So, is Najib a member of the Opposition?” questioned Dr Mahathir.

In his blog post on April 2, Dr Mahathir upped his criticism of Najib and the BN government, saying that it could lose power in the 14th general election over its poor handling of issues such as 1MDB and the murder of Mongolian model Altantuya Shaariibuu.

MCA demands 37 DAP MPs to apologize publicly!

KUALA LUMPUR: MCA has slammed DAP for allowing its Opposition ally PAS to go ahead with the hudud Private Member's Bill, which appeared in Tuesday's Parliamentary order sheet.

MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai (pic) called out DAP specifically because the party had earlier said it would block PAS' attempt to implement the syariah criminal code in Kelantan.

"The move by PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has shown that DAP has failed in stopping PAS from presenting the hudud act and has allowed a Private Member's Bill regarding hudud to be included in Parliament," Liow (MCA-Bentong) told reporters at a press conference in Parliament lobby on Tuesday.

"DAP has always said they will ensure that PAS will not move forward with their intentions without the consensus of all three Pakatan Rakyat components. However, looking at the hudud bill, it is clear that their words are false and has shown that Pakatan is not united," said Liow, who is also Transport Minister.

"It also shows that DAP has ignored the spirit of the Federal constitution. We know that the presentation of an act that attempts to implement a law that is not in line with the constitution should not happen but in this issue, we know that PAS has remained defiant and went forward with their efforts to implement hudud in Malaysia. MCA is clearly in disagreement with this proposal.

"We wish to remind DAP that they have promised the public they will stop PAS from implementing hudud in the country but what is shown in the Parliamentary order paper and the Bill presented in Parliament shows something else," he said.

"DAP continues to deceive the people in this country and play politics with hudud law," said Liow, while assuring the public that MCA would not support the implementation of hudud and would uphold the Federal constitution.

"Barisan National has always upheld the spirit of the constitution and MCA as a component party will defend that spirit," he said.

He called for all 37 DAP MPs to apologise for allowing PAS to move forward with their hudud push.

The motion to table the Private Member's Bill appeared on Tuesday's parliamentary order paper. It seeks to amend Section 2 of the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965.

However, while the motion is listed in the order paper, Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia has yet to decide on whether to allow it to go through.

In a press conference earlier in the day, Lim Kit Siang (DAP - Gelang Patah) expressed his shock and dismay that PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang had gone ahead with plans to table a Private Member's Bil to pave the way for the implementation of hudud in Kelantan.

"Hadi had promised on Feb 8 at the Pakatan leadership council that any motion on hudud will first be presented to the council. Today, April 7, is the first time we, and anyone in DAP, are seeing the Private Member's Bill.

"This is a breach of promise. Hadi has broken his word and I'm very shocked that this can happen. This shows that Hadi's word is not his bond," said the Gelang Patah MP

PETALING JAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (pic) has admitted that the country lost money when he was Prime Minister.

"But the people and the whole world knew how that money was lost," he said in a posting on chedet.cc Tuesday.

Dr Mahathir said the reasons for the losses made by Perwaja Steel, Bank Bumiputra Malaysia Finance and Maminco were known.

He also admitted his involvement in the Forex and Konsortium Perkapalan ventures that caused the Government to lose money.

"The country knew where the money were invested during my time. In business, there is profit and also sometimes losses. What cannot be accepted is money that goes missing," he said.

"I am not accusing Datuk Seri Najib (Tun Razak). I am asking questions because the debt of billions has to be borne by the people. Those who accuse me of saying that I have my own agenda or that I did the same during my time have not provided the answer as well," he said.

He said that when he resigned, there were efforts to find evidence that he swindled the Government of money.

IGP: Terror cell intended to create Islamic State-like regime in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The 17 militants detained in the latest swoop by Bukit Aman were planning to create an Islamic State-like regime in Malaysia.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said that to achieve their goal, [B]the terror cell had planned to kidnap VIPs and raid banks to fund their terror activities.

"We received information that they were also planning to raid several army camps and police stations to boost their weapons cache.
"The locations identified as the cell's terror targets were in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

Khalid added that among the 17 detained were two Armed Forces personnel and an Indonesian militant, believed to be a former member of the Jemaah Islamiah terror group.

"We believe they also received funds from a terror group in a neighbouring country.

"Those detained aged between 14 and 49 are being held under Sosma 2012," he said.
The latest arrests bring the number of those detained for suspected IS links to 92 since February 2012.

I duno why they so eager wanted to approve that bill about terror act. But this case, i feel a little bit fake only. The terrorist so stupid? kidnap vip logic but banks and police stations?

All hotels and restaurants are no longer allowed to impose a service charge effective today, 6 April 2015

Domestic Trade and Consumerism secretary-general Datuk Seri Alias Ahmad said the instruction is temporary, until the Government figures out a way to regulate the collection of service charges.

"At present, there is no official body or ruling that regulates the collection of service charge. It is an age-old international practice. However, as we have received many complaints from consumers, we came to this decision," said Alias at a press conference, Monday.

Establishments are only allowed to impose the 10% service charge if they have a collective agreement between employer and employees

Businesses that do not have a collective agreement on service charges but still continue to impose it will be subject to action under the Anti-Profiteering Act.

Raising the bar-rape

Watching the final episode of Raising the bar now on Astro channel 350. All about the lawyers and cases. The last case was about a girl suing her teacher for sexually abuse. She failed her paper and begged her teacher for passing her. But the teacher declined. She proceed to complaint to the university but after investigation, the university decided the complaint is not successful.

The girl later on surprisingly reported to the police to sue the teacher for attempting to rape her! And the teacher of course will never admit something that he had not done before. Just like Anwar Ibrahim. To spice up the situation, the girl dared to committed suicide. Such incident made the people around to believe the teacher had committed the crime. But in fact i dont think the girl can be trusted at all.

Just like this Saiful Bukhari. F you. You dare to frame someone like this. You wait to receive karma one day from god.
