Siti Bainun 'hilang' 60 kg

Kuala Lumpur: Susuk tubuh pengasas Rumah Bonda, Siti Bainun Ahd Razali yang semakin susut menarik perhatian ramai pihak ketika hadir untuk pendengaran rayuan di Mahkamah Tinggi di sini hari ini.

Difahamkan, berat badan wanita berusia 31 tahun itu mencecah 150 kilogram ketika mula menjejakkan kaki ke tirai besi, 3 Mei lalu namun kini menyusut kepada 90 kg sahaja.

Ini bermakna, dia yang menjalani hukuman 12 tahun di Penjara Kajang selepas didapati bersalah mengabai dan menganiaya remaja sindrom Down, Bella mengalami penurunan berat badan sebanyak 60 kg dalam masa enam bulan.

Dia yang memakai baju jubah merah jambu, dibawa ke mahkamah dengan diiringi anggota penjara.

Ketika disapa media sama ada dia sihat atau tidak, Siti Bainun hanya mengangguk sambil tersenyum.

Pada 3 Mei lalu, Mahkamah Sesyen di sini memerintahkan Siti Bainun menjalani hukuman penjara 12 tahun selepas didapati bersalah atas dua pertuduhan mengabai dan menganiaya Bella, 13, di sebuah unit kondominium di Wangsa Maju antara Februari dan Jun 2021.

Mahkamah turut memerintahkan Siti Bainun menandatangani bon berkelakuan baik selama lima tahun dengan seorang penjamin berserta cagaran RM5,000.

Dia juga diarah melaksanakan khidmat masyarakat selama 200 jam yang perlu disempurnakan dalam tempoh enam bulan selepas tamat hukuman penjara.

Pada 23 Mei, Mahkamah Tinggi menolak permohonannya untuk menangguhkan hukuman penjara kerana tiada keadaan khas mewajarkan pengasas Rumah Bonda itu dilepaskan sementara menunggu rayuan sabitan serta hukuman didengar.

Ini bermakna wanita berusia 31 tahun itu kekal dipenjarakan sementara menunggu rayuan terhadap sabitan dan hukuman diputuskan oleh Mahkamah Tinggi.

“I personally support a decrease in the voting age but it is not a matter simply for me or even the government,” Ardern said. “Any change in electoral law of this nature requires 75% of parliamentarians' support.”

Beliau berkata, siasatan awal mendapati nombor telefon digunakan suspek pernah dilapor dengan beberapa kes lain tahun ini manakala kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 420 Kanun Keseksaan.

Mahriyatty faces imprisonment for a term not exceeding 20 years and a fine of not less than five times the value of the bribe or RM10,000 whichever is higher if convicted.

Apart from that, she also faces 21 charges under Section 165 of the Penal Code which if convicted can be sentenced to a maximum of two years imprisonment or a fine, or both.

She was accused of corruptly obtaining a bribe as an inducement to approve the Bumiputera Status Certificate (STB) for several contractors in the state.

All the offences were allegedly committed at Maybank Sipitang Branch at Lot 25 & 26 Sipitang Shopping Centre, Jalan Hj A. H. Tengah, 89850 Sipitang and Maybank Karamunsing Branch, Maybank Building, No 1, Lorong Kemajuan, Karamunsing, in the Kota Kinabalu district from 2019 to 2021.

The court then set bail at RM25,000 and a local surety in addition to the condition of reporting to the Kota Kinabalu MACC office once in two months.

The prosecution was conducted by prosecuting officer Nurul Izzati Sapifee while the accused was represented by lawyer Zahir Hussien Ahmad Shah.
