Sisa korban tak dibersih, penduduk kecewa hidu bau busuk

Ampang: Penduduk berdekatan tanah lapang bersebelahan Surau Nurul Huda Seri Mayang, Pandan Indah di sini, kecewa apabila kawasan yang dijadikan tapak sembelihan ibadah korban bertukar menjadi jijik.

Mereka mendakwa tapak penyembelihan haiwan korban yang sebahagian besarnya dilakukan warga asing itu tidak dibersihkan dengan sempurna sehingga menyebabkan bau busuk dan rasa tidak selesa kepada penduduk sekitar.

Tinjauan Harian Metro mendapati, organ dalaman lembu seperti perut dan kemaluan dibiarkan di atas tanah tanpa ditanam atau dilupuskan.

Penduduk yang enggan namanya disiarkan berkata, keadaan itu berlaku sejak tengah hari semalam selepas acara sembelihan selesai, namun tiada sebarang usaha dilakukan untuk membersihkan sisa yang ditinggalkan.

"Ada perut dan bahagian kemaluan lembu dibiarkan begitu sahaja. Kami bimbang ia akan mengundang lalat, anjing liar dan mungkin membawa risiko kesihatan," katanya.

Menurut penduduk, walaupun niat melakukan ibadah korban disambut baik, namun penganjur seharusnya lebih bertanggungjawab dalam aspek kebersihan dan keselamatan awam.

"Kalau nak buat korban, buatlah ikut garis panduan. Tanam sisa, bersihkan kawasan.

"Jangan buat lepas tangan. Kita yang duduk sini juga yang terpaksa tanggung akibatnya," katanya.

Seorang lagi penduduk, Rafiq Khan, 42, berkata, ini adalah kali pertama kawasan itu dijadikan tapak ibadah korban.

"Sebelum ini, ada pihak buat ibadah korban di tepi jalan sehingga mendapat teguran Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ).

"MPAJ sudah sediakan tapak baharu di sini untuk warga asing, namun mereka pula culas terhadap aspek kebersihan.

"Ada sisa organ haiwan bertaburan, langsung tak tanam. Bau busuk menusuk hidung. Kalau hujan nanti, air melimpah bawa sisa ke longkang, makin teruk," katanya.

Difahamkan, sebanyak 71 lembu dan seekor kambing disembelih untuk ibadah korban melibatkan komuniti warga asing beragama Islam di tapak itu, semalam.

MPAJ menerusi hantaran di Facebook berkata, program bermula jam 9.30 pagi itu dilaksanakan dengan mematuhi garis panduan ditetapkan.

MPAJ turut menyediakan bantuan kemudahan termasuk penyediaan lubang, air dan tangki khas bagi pengurusan penyembelihan dan kebersihan persekitaran bagi menyokong kelancaran program.

PETALING JAYA: Ridwan Sahrom, brother of national cyclist Shah Firdaus Sahrom has advised Malaysians to refrain from attacking the Japanese cyclist, Shinji Nakano who was involved in the crash at the Olympic men’s keirin final.

In an Instagram post, Ridwan pleaded with Malaysians to not attack the other countries that were involved in the crash.

“In keirin racing, everything can happen. We cannot blame or judge on what happened, whether it is an accident or not.

“Please remain calm and do not attack or comment anything bad to the Japanese rider’s social media,” said Ridwan.

Many Malaysian netizens took to the comment section to thank Ridwan for his reminder.

“Thank you for the reminder. So many people do not have common sense when it comes to giving criticism, that it borders on cyberbullying. I also disagree with what the Japanese cyclist did but all those mindless comments are unwarranted, racist and calling out for violence towards him and Japan.

“Malaysian behaviour and mentality is so disappointing and embarrassing. We must do better for our own sake. After all, we are representing Malaysia,” said Instagram user nureddiina.

However, a few said that the reminder came a bit too late as Nanako’s Instagram posts have since been flooded with comments from enraged Malaysian netizens.

And several netizens rejected his reminder, saying Shah Firdaus deserved justice, as Malaysia could have won the bronze medal if it was not for the crash.

The 28-year-old national cyclist was sprinting towards the finish line when he was hit by Nakano, causing Jack Carlin of Great Britain to lose control and fall in the final round at Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines National Velodrome.

Although match results initially showed Muhammad Shah finishing the race in fourth place, it was changed to relegated on the Games’ official website, resulting in a sixth-place finish.

Five social media influencers charged with promoting online gambling

KUALA LUMPUR: Five female social media influencers claimed trial at two magistrate's courts today with promoting online gambling on their respective platforms in June.

The accused, Aileen Koh Ooi Leng, 29; Hayatunnuffus Zakariya, 32; Nurul Syifa Aliya Adanan, 21; Nurazalina Mustafa, 28; and Noor Shahnez Marzuani, 22, were charged before magistrates Aina Azahra Arifin and Illi Marisqa Khalizan.

The charge sheet read that Koh had at about 8.23am promoted online gambling at a restaurant in Sentul on June 13.

She committed the offence under Section 8(1) of the Common Gaming Houses Act which carries a fine from RM20,000 to RM200,000 and a maximum five years jail term.

As for Hayatunnuffus and Noor Shahnez, they were charged with announcing or publishing by promoting online gambling platforms on their respective Instagram accounts to lure or deceive anyone to gamble in an common gaming house.

They committed the offences at 9am and 9.30am at two restaurants in Bandar Tun Razak and Taman Maluri in Cheras on the same day.

Nurul Syifa and Nurazalina were charged with promoting online gambling platforms Winbox.World, KK8, We1Win and Lucky365 on Instagram accounts handled by them using iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 13 Pro smartphones.

They committed the offences at 7am and 7.30am at the Kuala Lumpur Police Training Centre's Gambling Prevention Unit in Wangsa Maju on the same day.

All four were charged under Section 4(1)(g) of the same Act which carries a fine of between RM5,000 and RM50,000 and a jail term up to three years upon conviction.

There is also a fine of between RM5,000 and RM50,000 for each gambling machine seized.

In the proceedings before Aina Azahra, prosecuting officer Assistant Superintendent Nom Phot Prack Dit offered bail at RM5,000 with one surety each for Hayatunnuffus and Koh.

However, defence lawyers Azlan Abdul Razak dan V. Varunnath asked for a low bail amount as their clients do not have a stable income.

The court allowed RM4,000 bail with one surety each and set Aug 15 and 26 for mention.

Separately before Illi Marisqa, deputy public prosecutor Hamizah Hisan urged the court to set bail at RM15,000 with one surety for Nurul Syifa, Nurazalina and Noor Shahnez.

National Legal Aid Foundation lawyers Mohd Rhastdan Abdul Wahab and Meor Khusyairi as well as A. Krishnaveni, who stood for their trio, asked for a minimum bail sum as the three accused have unstable incomes and are supporting their parents and families.

Illi Marisqa fixed bail at RM5,000 with one surety for each of them and set Aug 15 for mention.
