States consider containers for affordable homes

As soaring prices put houses increasingly out of reach, several states and industry players are seriously considering recycling shipping containers into affordable homes.

The Selangor Housing and Real Property Board (LPHS) is looking into the viability of developing the container-homes concept into affordable homes for the people.

The container-home's modular structure coupled with its economical, eco-friendly and quick-to-market features tick all the boxes.

The Sanctuary Retreat and Residences will be next to the 16.1ha Tasik Puteri Golf and Country Club
Known for landmark projects that have stood the test of time, the low-profile Low Yat Group is testing the waters for a different kind of property – an amalgamation of Australia’s retirement homes and Malaysia’s multi-generational lifestyle.

The privately-owned property developer is taking things a step further by using a resort setting designed with the practicalities of multi-generational living arrangements, catering for those nearing retirement.

“The Sanctuary Retreat and Residences are boutique villas and chalets which will make this development the ultimate retirement spot, offering a lavish lifestyle for those wanting that perfect, cozy life after years of working,” says a company source.

“But that doesn’t mean this development is aimed just at the ageing population. The concept is a little different, as the entire project is to have a different age mix,” she says.

Those nearing retirement age may view this resort-style property as a vibrant home to retire to but the younger generation will have a rental option.

“Younger buyers can use the property as a revenue base while they are working and staying in the city,” she says. “So if buyers are in their 30s, they can have a steady rental income for 25 years until they are ready to retire.”

For me I not PR or BN macai.
I just want to know why it was so easy to move the ss2 durian from ss2 to the section 19.
It makes me wonder if there is difference voting MCA or DAP at state level.
