Laptop for college use as cheap as possible

I'm looking for a new laptop for college uses.
Maximum budget is RM1700 but I don't really want to spend that much so a laptop as cheap as possible should do.
Don't prefer anything except it is convenient for college uses, watching some videos.
I don't game too.

I found ASUS K401U, but not sure if to buy it or not cause many bad reviews about it

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 problem

I've purchased Redmi Note 3 Pro a few days ago. I'm satisfied with overall of the phone but there is one problem I'm facing.

After I quit airplane mode(every night I turns on airplane mode before sleep then turns it off in the morning), my phone won't detect the network most of the time, sometimes it detects the network but it took way too long to happen but still, it acts like there's no network. I couldn't call, sms, receive call, receive sms and use mobile data. Everytime I have to restart my phone to detect the network.

Is there any ways to fix this problem ? It irritates me a lot as I have to restart my phone everyday.

Laptop for software systems development

Hey guys I'm taking diploma and degree in software systems development, which learns programming and coding. I wanted to buy a laptop for the course I'm planning to study.

Do I need a high end laptop for my course ?

What laptop do you guys recommend me buying ? I have a budget of around RM2.5k, can go over a little.

Also I will be using my laptop for some gaming like CSGO, Dota 2, FIFA and others. Will also use for movies and music but primary on college stuffs.

Any brand and screen size doesn't matter as long as it's an android phone

I'm going to college soon and I'm planning to buy a laptop for me to use in the future.
This will be my first time buying a laptop so I hope nothing mess up with the laptop.
My budget for the laptop is RM3k. Can go slightly higher to RM3.5k max. Don't wanna spend too much on it.
I will be using it for assignments and some gaming for games like FIFA online, CS GO, Maplestory and some other recent games like GTA V, Far Cry, Battlefield etc on low to mid settings.
I don't have a preferred brand but what I heard from my friend is brands like ASUS and Acer make good laptops.
Don't have a preferred screen size too but as long as it is not too small for watching videos and gaming should be fine.
Hope you guys can help me with this as PC Fair is around the corner and I hope to buy it during the fair.
Any advice and recommendations are welcomed.

Hey guys ! I'm 17 and going to college soon, but I've never had a decent gaming rig to play my games smoothly. And since I'm going to college, I wanted to buy a new laptop. I would use it for gaming primarily since I have not really enjoy some gaming. Which laptop do you guys recommend me to have a look ? My budget is around RM3000 maybe can go slightly over. I know that for gaming, building your own PC would cost less and get the most out of it. But since I'm going to college soon, I don't think I want to build one and carry them everywhere I go. Your help would be much appreciated

Guys next year I'll be sitting my SPM exam so I won't have much time to spend on gaming. But I desperately want to build a gaming PC. My budget is 2.5k and I think I won't change the budget in the future.

Should I build my gaming PC now ? Or wait until December 2015 when SPM ended so I can use that budget to build (maybe a better one) ?

Monitor and PC controller

I currently have one old monitor wonder if it can support modern games graphic like Battlefield 4.... my monitor is Samsung SyncMaster713N. Can anyone tell me if it is okay to use ?

And then another RM2500 another guy gave me online (he says it's cheaper than my build and more performance)
