ASUS Motherboard Issues

Hi.

I bought my ASUS UX 305 in June 2016 after much research and good reviews online and on YouTube. On the first day itself, it shows some signs of lagging but it wasn't very apparent and it didn't happen very frequently. Fast forward to 6 months later, the screen blacked out while the power and airplane button lit up or it hung sometimes and I had to restart all over again. The hanging usually happens when I try to do things fast. Long story short, over the past 2 years I've sent it for repairs and ASUS informed me that they changed the motherboard twice -and this was during the warranty period. My laptop is fine, in fact I have no regrets buying it because it served its purpose where I was looking for good battery life. Even 2.5 years later, I can still watch 2 movies or use it for 6 to 8 hours with no signs of battery life slowing down. It has helped a lot when I have to walk long distance and bring it without taking my adapter along. It's also light and SSD is mostly fast but it can't handle too many tabs, understandably so because it's 4GB ram.

As of now, again the airplane and power button lights up when the screen doesn't. The thing is, it showed no signs of having any problems for the past few months at all- meaning no lag, no slowing down, nothing -until one of the days when I was going though PowerPoint slides and it the screen just went black but some keys as mentioned earlier lit up.

May I know if anyone with UX 305 2016 model faces this issue? Is it common, could it be a faulty device, what are other reasons to explain this?

Thank you.

OnePlus 3 users, what do you think?

So I've been eyeing the OP3 for a few months now and really want to get one bc my phone died and I'm using a replacement.

Thing is, it's hard to find shops that actually provide a sample model so that I can hold it and test it out.
I've also been advised by a few people, including other retailers not to buy the OP3 bc it's not that established here yet and it's difficult when it comes to finding basic stuff, getting it repaired etc.

OP users, what do you think? How has your experience been so far?

Also, if not OP3 I'm looking for other phones that are not Apple or Samsung. I'm looking for something that's close to stock android and is built to last for the next 2-3 years.

Anyone has any recommendations or breakdown of the systems? How about Huawei?

Business Advice Needed

To make this brief,

1. Will it be a tough competition in finding jobs for those who have a degree in business, considering the fact that business is one of the most studied course among students?

2. If so, what will help me stand out as a job applicant in future?

3. I'm considering FIA in Sunway or MUFY in Sunway. Which one is better in terms of quality of teaching, enviroment etc? (Pls let me know about how your experience was if you were in one of the two colleges stated above. This helps me help others in future.)

4. My plan is to get a degree in Business and Administration. If I want to get another degree the following year, are there any good business degrees to follow up, or should I study something else?

5. I still feel unsure about studying a course business related. Is there anyone experienced that can reassure me?

Thank you for your help smile.gif

SPM 2015

Hey guys!

Here is a snippet of the blog post that contains materials/links/advice/effective notes to help you all in your future examination.
Hope it will benefit you as always.

"Initially wanted to write this right after exams but here it is now. If introductions are necessary, yes, I’m a post-SPM student this year. And the reason I choose to write this is because there were many things I’ve discovered, even in the last moments before SPM and I wish someone, a senior or teacher told me about it. Here’s a compilation of things I wish to share with all of you so there.

First off, doesn’t matter when you read this. There is always time, even at the last minute. What matters most is whether you try your best or not. Materials are extremely essential so I would suggest you get 3 books. The past year questions book which is divided into Form 4 and Form 5 and is complete with explanations. Make sure you do those after you’ve done revision on a chapter."

Link to the blog is here!
https://coeuretlame.wordpress.com/2014/12/2...chool-graduate/

Foundation or Diploma

Hey guys

I'm interested in 3 career prospects which are Humanities (Law),
Social Sciences (Psychology) and Mass Comm.

I'm most interested in Mass Comm but there are many others who
want to study this course too. I'm hesitant on choosing this one bc it might end up like the 'overdose' of doctors in
market at the moment.

Psychology has always been something I'm interested in, but I'm unsure if I want to make a career out of it. Studying Psychology as a minor subject would be better.

Law is a career prospect that my parents are suggesting to me and I feel it does seem interesting, but I don't know if I can make it long term bc I have the least knowledge -besides watching lawyers on tv- in this career. I also feel that it would require a lot of courage to stand up and move out of my comfort zone.

Next would be either choosing foundation or diploma. From what I've been reading in the past few weeks, foundation is a faster pathway to degree. However, it is general and does not train you to be prepared to work. Diploma takes slightly longer and it does enhance your skills. Moreover, you would have a higher chance of being hired.

Most people ask me, "What do you like to do?", "What is your ambition?" and all that. Truth is, I don't have much I like to do. Reading and writing comes naturally. I haven't really found my talent and I'm indecisive on this one bc I want to make my parent's money and my time count.

If you do read till the end, thank you for your time. Hoping that I will be able to make a decision asap.
