ASM Automation Group Berhad has officially announced its Initial Public Offering (IPO) as part of its listing on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. The IPO will consist of a total of 128,344,000 new ordinary shares in ASM, structured to cater to different investor segments.

The allocation includes 26,740,000 shares available for application by the Malaysian public, 10,696,000 shares for eligible directors, employees, and contributors to the company's success. Furthermore, 66,846,000 shares will be offered through private placement to Bumiputera investors approved by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, and 24,062,000 shares will be available for selected investors.

In addition to the public issue, there will be an offer for sale of 53,477,000 existing shares via private placement to selected investors, all priced at RM0.17 per share, payable in full upon application. This strategic move is expected to enhance ASM's capital base and support its growth initiatives.

Balloting of application: 23 Jun 2025
Allotment of IPO shares to successful applicants: 30 Jun 2025

Resignation Process. What should I do first?

Hi Sifus.

May I know how to properly tender my resignation?

Current scenario. New company offered me new job and willing to pay my notice period. Since my current job the notice period is 3 months, new company willing to pay for 2 months notice.

I'm still waiting for my offer letter from my new company. So in the mean time should I discuss this with my manager first, or should I sign and submit my offer letter to new company then only discuss with my manager on the notice period? My main concern is that my current company doesn't agree on the short notice and I have to fully serve my three months notice which my new company doesn't agree. They can't wait for three months.

Any idea on how I should proceed on this? Should I sign the offer letter then only inform my manager, or should I discuss with my manager first then only sign and submit my offer letter? I'm hoping to transition out peacefully and professionally.

Phone number got cloned?

Hi guys.

I've been using my current phone number since 2018. Recently I've been getting calls from J&T, GDEX and other courier delivery guys saying they're OTW to deliver parcel. The problem is, I didn't purchase anything online and I'm in KL they're in Negeri Sembilan.

Just now got another guy called me to deliver something too. I said that he got the wrong number. The courier guy was surprised then when he go and deliver the item to the recipient he mentioned that the phone number is wrong but the lady said that's her number.

Is it possible my phone number got cloned? or just human error? Few cases already from different people.

Stumbled upon a job ad for Personal Financial Advisor (PFA) - CIMB. I understand that it is a sales position but is it direct selling kind of job where we need to actively look for customers or just sit in the bank and entertain walk-in customers?

Currently in a limbo whether to choose this job or just stay in my current job.

No record from Maybank when updating ASB book?

Need advice please.

I topped up my ASB via Maybank2u last Monday - transaction went through and everything confirmed. Then today I went to Maybank Shah Alam to update my buku pelaburan. The guy at the counter said that there's no update available and he can't see any update from ASNB. I was kinda surprised. Then I called ASNB main branch to confirm whether transaction on their end is correct or not and they say everything is ok.

So what is going on here? Why the Maybank branch say there's nothing to kemaskini when I already topped up using Maybank2u last week??

Should I wait till next year to only to kemaskini my buku pelaburan??

Can get P licence immediately at JPJ office?

So I got the JPJ test this Friday. My driving school is Metro Driving Academy. I heard that after pass everything can get P licence immediately if I go to JPJ. True or not? Can go to any JPJ office right?

Family member too frugal. How to deal with it?

My sister is too frugal to the point that I am so annoyed at her. The background story is this – my parents, my brother and me are working and my sister is still studying but not working. I give my parents some allowance every month - enough to cover utility bills and groceries. Our family is an upper middle income kind, enough money for the necessities, bills and savings, and still got spare money for personal use.

My sister on the other hand is so kedekut/frugal. When shopping, she never wants to buy things that are reasonably priced but will last longer due to better quality. Instead, she always opted for a cheap 10-15 ringgit shoes that will last for a month only. Then, she’ll either wear it until koyak and hancur then only buy another one. Her apparel also like that... buy cheap cheap stuff that will not last long then have to buy again.

Recently her iPhone 5 dropped on the floor, screen cracked. I offer to get her the iPhone 7 because I can afford marh.. she refused my offer and continue using the cracked iPhone 5. Then I senyap-senyap surprised her with the new iPhone the next day and she was so angry at me. She always say don’t waste money la and she damn du lan at me for spending money at her. I don’t understand lah….why is she so angry when we spent things on her. Even my parents don’t want to buy her things later scared she will yell at them for wasting money. I understand la that we need to save some for our future but there’s nothing wrong in spending our hard-earned money once in a while. What’s the point of having a lot of money in the bank when we’re not using it?

That’s all for my rant. I want to ask you guys; do you have someone in your family who behave like this? How to talk some sense to them?

Internship application process?

Hi so I applied for several internships through Jobstreet. I received a couple of responds through e-mail asking me when I want to do the interview.

But then after reply stating my preferred day and time for interview, I haven't receive any response from them. I've been waiting for almost two days but still no respond from them. Should I get back to them or just wait longer?

Age 21 - Never work before - HELP!

Hey guys. This is my first time posting on LowYat (yay ~)..

Just wondering what are my chances of getting a part time job at 21 years old. Since after SPM, I actually haven't had any opportunity to work part time as I decided to study overseas right after SPM. Fast forward to three years, I'm coming back to Malaysia for my holidays and I'm thinking of working at restaurants/cafes. So, my question is do employers prefer to hire part timers who only work for around 2 months with no experience?

Also, I know this might sound silly, but when I enquire for a job vacancy at restaurants or cafes at shopping malls, do I need to provide a resume on the spot?
