Hello all, I've searched the forum, but information regarding this is a bit scarce and does not directly answer some of the question I have.

Context, I am 30ish now, and working as an certified automotive loss adjuster for a company. After working for several years, the job is started to take a toll on my mental health and I think I am unable to continue this job further anymore.

I know this sounds crazy for some people, considering a job change at my age, but I am more concern about my health than money at this point. Due to the concern of my declining mental health, I have considered to quit my current job and maybe return back to my hometown, and start to work some small job instead.

I am really interested in pursuing an electrician/wireman course, but I don't know how to start.

My intention is to learn some wiring/electrician courses before I quit my current job, so that maybe I can do some small wiring related jobs in my hometown in case I need to work, or rather as a stepping stone and open a small business if thing permits. I prefer if the courses are certified, in case I decided to pursue a professional course in future.

I am currently staying in Gombak/Selayang area, and prefer if the courses could be taken as part time, since I am working now. Full time is also an option, if there is no other way about it.

I hope that someone will be able to guide me the proper way.

I welcome any comments/feedback regarding my situation, and I will take it as a positive feedback for my consideration.

camera shop to repair flash, shutter service.

Hi,

I did some searches in the forum but most information was outdated.

I am looking for any camera shop that are able to repair two things:

1) There seems to be a visible crack in the OVF of my Canon 60D, but I don't see anything on the shutter mirror or the pentaprism. It is currently blocking my top focus point, which is annoying when you use it with a 70-200, telephoto. The top focus point works. It has never been serviced since 2011, so I guess it is a good time to do that as well.

2) One of my flash units, the MeiKe MK930, sometimes flashes, sometimes does not. I suspect something is wrong with the Bulb, or rather something went loose, as the flash did fell down once when I was using it as OCF. It fell on the grass, nothing solid. After it fell, I tested the flash and it was still working normally, but after a week it started to act out. It will turn on, but it just don't fire consistently. Out of 20 pilot presses, the flash will fire once or twice.

You kind help are appreciated.

Unfair treatment on working schedule

I seek opinion on this matter.

For a year plus I have being working on night shift regularly, and suddenly today, I have received an email from my boss that with immediate effect, I am not allowed to work for night shift anymore.

No reason was given for the decision, boss didn’t approach me stating said reason, out of the blue just the email came.

I feel very unfairly treated, my attendence is 100% I never had of any issue/complaint about how I work during night shift, just suddenly being retracted. Others are doing much more poorly, EL and attendence issue but somehow I am taking the penalty here. There is no offical complaints or nothing, suddenly I am treated this way.

It obviously affect me financially, and not what I negotiated before during I signed my contract. I am looking for other opinion how I can handle situations better.

As for now my option is to switch department. As I think that this move may be politically motivated, and there is no room for me to make plays in situation like this. Its either I leave or take it up.

Any other good suggestions? Thank you

OpenWRT on TL-WR1043ND

I can not setup this router with run with OpenWRT

Followed klseet guide, but seems everytime I try to do VLAN tagging following his guide, I get lock up from gateway
Had to PuTTY into failsafe and reset to factory

Can anyone guide me on how to setup this?

I'm having some kind of trouble with women.
This might not be a serious problems, but hear me out.

Some time ago, I do socialize alot, especially with women.
We talk, we sing, we joke around, having some good times together, spending time doing enjoyable things.
Sounds normal

Here's the catch.
90 percent of the girls I hang out with, which are single, will confront me and ask to have a long term commitment a.k.a relationships.
This is the problem.

Right now, I'm not looking for a long term relationship.
I'm looking for something more casual.
These girls somehow just they don't understand.
When I explain, they just get mad, and start taking things the wrong way.

It's not like I talk about marriage or promise them anything.
You know, just flirt abit, throwing funny joke, making them laugh.
Why do most of them misunderstood my intentions?
Am I doing it wrong?
Do I need to change anything on the way I act?
How should I engage this?

[WTA] Reccomendation for single GPU setup

I want to upgrade my card.

Not interested in setting SLI/CrossX as from personal experience not many games support the method.

4 cards pop in mind;

1) Sapphire R7 260X
2) Sapphire R9 270
3) MSI GTX 650Ti Boost
4) MSI GTX 750Ti

Read reviews at AnandTech, referred to GPU14

Looking to play games like Assassins Creed 4, Far Cry 3, and Splinter Cell Blacklist on Very High/High setting

Some of these card have issues running at Very High/High setting, noticeably the 260x at 1080p. Is this true?
R9 looks like a strong candidate for long term investment, not so sure myself.

I'm not so sure about Nvidea as I've never owned any of their cards (Price issues)

Not aiming for 60fps as I can always switch the video settings to Very Low/Low/Medium
So I should stay around 30fps right?
Or invest on higher card?

Which of these cards will be better money for value cards for long term upgrade?
