Digital Photography Help !

I always take photographs with a white background but they always come out grayish/bluish instead of white. I tried everything, i shot under natural sun light, adjusted / measured white balance in my camera but they still don't work. Is PS the solution only? I hate spending so much time tweaking one image after another

here's the image, i've only resized it, for this picture below, i know i could've simply adjust the brightness/contrast level to make it brighter/whiter, however my problem is the shadow remain bluish...not to mention the edges around the picture too

Flash, or no Flash?

Ok, recently i've been browsing online alot to gather website ideas, i currently own 2 websites, one i have a profesional designer (freelance) working for me (Absolute Chic) and another one being cheapo i made myself, (simmy-tan.com) (warning, very very crappy, ok? cant expect much from a person with no profesional training lolz )

I'm going to move most of my stuff from simmy-tan.com to absolutechic.net soon, so maybe i can make that (simmy-tan.com) into my personal portfolio page. Since it's a portfolio based website, it doesn't require much updating right? So i was thinking of making it into a FLASH website. I've been told that if you want a flash website, you cannot update it like HTML based websites, the whole thing have to be re-write if you want to change certain things in them (is that true?)

I've noticed that a Flash website looks more slick and sophisticated compare with non-flash websites, and most importantly, the COST of having it done profesionally is not much different from normal ones..(i've been in touch with a flash designer recently) Now, what do you think?

You as a website owner/designer/or even viewer, do you think a flash website is better? or normal one? (since normal once can update easily)

I'll be glad to hear advise from you guys, since alot of you are expertise in this field.
