This is an award winning dashcam! It was being awarded by the iF Design 2018 for its ultra original design. The competition is among 6401 products from 54 countries for this honor.
The DDPAI Mini3 is an Ultra HD Dashcam with 1600p resolution. This is my 2nd review of DDPAI dashcam, the first was the DDPai Mini2.
What I like most about the Mini series is their design in round tube shape and what impressed me much would be their stylish look in dark that make it more secluded.
Bear in mind this is a 2K+ resolution dashcam that really give a Ultra HD quality recordings!

Yay:
– Super capacitor technology
– Matt black/Slim/stylish body.
– No screen display on dashcam, only can view via apps (won’t disrupt while driving)

Nay:
-Phone battery drained fast when pairing with apps
– Only 32gb Built in memory only, no slot for external memory

A fantastic improvement compare with mini2 , doing great at the noise reduction but there are space to improve during low light especially night drive. It would be great if it can extend to 160° anger (ideally). Shout out for the super capacitor technology that owner can worry less to the hot weather! This is really a good products that never fails me and always gives me a WOWWW!!
**Awaiting the hardwire kit to test on parking mode where you can record footage with 24/7

Yes, is a go! Huami produces high-quality but low-cost fitness tracker to market.
To be precise, this watch is only costing about USD69 and it is better than anything else in its budget range but it consists of specs that can be compare with other expensive smart watch.

A key-chain sized lightweight Led torch that is always at your convenience. Putting it in your pocket, backpack, in your car or your handbag that won’t occupied much of the space. I really like the smaller size of this torch and the 500mAh built-in battery which can be rechargeable via a miro usb port. It does have mode memory so when you turn it off and turn it back on it will be on the same level of brightness that you left it on.
The only down-point for me is that it is not water resistant torch..well that’s too bad.
Overall, this is a good thing that you can consider.

I got a Fitbit Charge2 actually and from a consumer perspective, we will for sure compare which is good and best! From the price perspective, the MPOW D6 is priced at USD19, where I got my Fitbit around USD171…WAWWWWW!
Of course, you got what you pay! I would say Fitbit has a lil’ bit more features whereby MPOW D6 is simple and easily access with just a few tab.
MPOW D6 has this On/Off functions, Tab and hold for 5sec and the device will prompt out the options.
I haven’t test out the message and call notification(when the device is synchronized with phone), will give it a try on this features.
Shall I make a review of Fitbit Charge2 vs MPOW D6? We shall see!

It was totally a different experience for me on reviewing this item. Not like those IP camera that I reviewed before, this goodies really require some self exploring and research. For people that is good in DIY, this might suit you.

Preferable you have a centralized system or centralized storage to store all recording if you would wish to treat it as a surveillance camera . The target audience of ELP is mainly on industrial or DIY experts.
Took me some time to explore and dealing with the support from ELP. I have to look for 3rd party software/application in order to work with the camera. They does not have it’s own application to sync directly with the camera.

Pros
– Premium looks and features! Aluminum enclosure, gave me a solid feel and a sleek look.
– Video quality is strong, with good dynamic range and crisp details.
– Compatible with FPV
– Touchscreen!!
– Controllable with SJCAM application
– Comes with its own selfie stick and controller (not included in package)
– Voice reception is pretty clear

Cons – Gyro stabilization can only operate at 1080p 30 or 60 FPS
– Took me sometime to play with the settings. SJCAM really has a lot of features and functions to explore. I would say good and bad.
– It does not have focus function for photo taking, you gotta be real still when taking photo especially during low lights. (Anyhow, this is an action cam, not really for photo taking)

My Conclusions , The SJ7 Star is seriously a solid choice for those who wants to have a native 4K video quality but don’t want to spend twice of the price for a GoPro.
At the price $180+- , the SJ7 Star is a good performer with an economic value that has a very competitive specification as well
There are some hiccups during the testing whereby it will prompt “Low Speed Card” message (Even it is tested with a Netac Pro U3). After some findings in google, this is basically due to the firmware problem. Updated to the latest firmware and the message did not appear anymore
My 2 cents, pairing Ambarella A12S75 chipset with a Sony IMX117 sensor is a very good combination to deliver a superb good quality of video footage.
Yes, this is a good choice!
**Disclaimer : Will it be a killer of GoPro Hero5 ? Yay or Nay..? Till I have the chance to SJ7 Star Vs. GoPro 5

To my very 2cents, Viofo A119 is still standing strong. Although both are running at 2K UHD resolution but if you have a detailed view at the comparison video, the result is quite obvious.
Well I would say DDPai Mini2 is not bad too, it tends to be brighter when in low light area but when it comes to sharpness & noises, it still have spaces to be improved whereby video quality of Viofo A119 is clean and sharp.
** CPL Filter added on Viofo A119, image tends to be darker.

Another 2K resolution Dashcam of mine!
This is a new version in black. I like this dashcam as it’s running with an Ultra HD 2K Resolution, stylish design with glossy black which is not easily to be spotted and most importantly battery running with super capacitor (worry-less for hot weather in Malaysia)

Are you able to spot the DDPai Mini2 easily?
The answer is NO, this photo was actually taken with an LED flashlight pointing directly to both my DDPai Mini2 and Viofo A119 Dashcam. Hardly can be spotted!

My humble comments, from the good side. It’s a 2K UHD dashcam with a super capacitor that we won’t need to worry about heat issue.
Everything can be configured via the phone application in just one click. Color in black and tiny in size that can’t be spotted easily. (I like the glossy black!)
Well, it does not have a display screen. In other words, we need to use the application to view back or to download the footage into our phone, or we can export it from the micro SD card.
To determine whether it’s a good 2K dashcam that really up to Mr CKJ’s par, I will use my all time favorite Viofo A119 to do a comparison. Let’s wait for another Battle of 2K Dashcam! Stay tuned ….& Thanks for reading!

Xiaomi Mi WiFi Amplifier 2

Due to the recent upgrade of my wireless router (not sure I should address it as upgrade or downgrade)by the Internet Service Provider, the WiFi seems unstable and video streaming is quite lagging. Some dead zone in my house is not covered nor detectable.
I actually subscribed the monthly 50M/bps package, but the initial WiFi router (with 3 big Antennas) can only boost up to 30M/bps. After rounds of checking & investigation, the ISP suspect it was the router problem, as part of the package with the device is still under warranty, I have no choice but to accept another new router(without Athena) that caused the instability. Hmm…!!

To resolve on my current hiccups, I came accross Xiaomi Mi WiFi Amplifier 2, it support 2.4GHz Wireless with speed up to 300Mbps.
It has this function call WiFi roaming, basically you can use the same name as the superior router to achieve WiFi roaming.

My 2 cents, I still prefer SJCAM more as it produced better quality in the video footage. Images are more focused and sharp, especially on night video. Although MGCOOL explorer has brighter capturing but the quality of the images seems soft and not detail enough, alot of noises in the footage.
One thing to put into your consideration too , the price of SJCAM SJ5000X Elite still selling around USD100+ , whereby MGCOOL Explorer Pro is selling at USD39, -2x lesser of the price.
Well, I should talk less and you should keep calm and watch the comparison video now! Enjoy…!

As promised, after my review of 360 J511C Dashcam. Here comes another value for money gadget from Xiaomi. Xiaomi is a well known brand for most Malaysian of it’s peripherals devices available in the market.
Introducing Mijia Dashcam which I bought it in one of the online store in Malaysia with the price of around Rm200. For the price of an mid-range dashcam, this is considered a good deal.

To my conclusion, the setting is pretty simple and straight forward. The price itself is affordable for a mid-range dashcam and as I did mention before in my post 360 J511C Dashcam, both can be rival but from the video footage it seems Mijia Dashcam did a better job than 360 J511C Dashcam. Well, I would say Pros & Cons in between both of them. I am not really sure till I write out an review for the battle of 360 J511C Dashcam vs. Mijia Dashcam and you judge it! Stay Tuned…..

To my conclusion, It is indeed a gadget which is Value for Money. The menu of this action cam is quite straight forward, every setting can be configured in one key. Setting is much easier than SJCAM SJ5000X Elite which is another action cam of mine.MGCOOL Explorer Pro really does its job but doesn’t do it well. Comparing with SJcams, the quality of the footage seems soft and not detail enough. However, considering for the price of US38.99 for a mid-range action cam, I would consider a green light as you pay what you get.

Statistics shows that there are 30 millions vehicles in Malaysia but only 5% of vehicle installed dashcam. Whether this is a mandatory device to be installed? Well I would say it depends on our own-self but this recalls a conversation I had with my wife.

Our conversation goes like this :
Wife : The motorist running the red light!!!

The Viofo A119 and the Dome D201 Dashcam. Both dashcam appear in market for quite sometimes but it is still one of the popular and affordable high-end dashcam.

Both the dashcam have a fair share on the specifications, both are high-end dashcam but SHOUT OUT LOUD for Viofo A119 as it’s using the super capacitor technologies whereby most of the device are still using Lithium battery nowadays.
** Supercapacitor : is a high-capacity capacitor with capacitance values much higher than other capacitors (but lower voltage limits) that bridge the gap between electrolytic capacitors and rechargeable batteries.
