Have some questions regarding accounting degree

So if someone does a degree in accounting and finance, and comes out to become an accountant, would the salary be attractive for a fresh graduate?

And, how's the working hours? I heard that accountants have to work really long hours and go back at past 10 p.m or later, and then next morning has to go back to work at 8 a.m as usual. Is this true? And, do accountants have to stare at the computer the whole day? Won't the eyes get tired and the eye power increase?

And, in Malaysia, there are so many different types of accounting degrees. There are 3 years, and 4 years. I think I understand the difference between the 3 years and 4 years (the 4 years is recognized by MIA). But what's the difference between an accounting degree, and a accounting and finance degree? For example, HELP University offers Bachelor of Business (Accounting), and Multimedia University also offers Bachelor of Accounting. But, Sunway University offers BSc (Hons) Accounting & Finance. What's the difference between Accounting, and Accounting & Finance? The subjects? So, which one is better? And, why is it a Bachelor of Science for Sunway's program? Shouldn't it be Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Arts?

Want work in company like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan

Now I just finished my STPM, and I am considering to study engineering. My choice is strictly engineering only, preferable mechanical. My results are quite good and I can afford local private uni's (but not too expensive ones and I can't afford to study overseas). I don't need to wait for public uni IPTA application. So I can straightaway look around for suitable university's now.

I heard that people that work in companies like Goldman Sachs, J.P Morgan, Morgan Stanley, doing financial stuff or investment banking, I heard they earn quite well. If let's say after graduating, I try to apply to work in these 3 companies (I know these 3 don't exist here, or do they? I'm not sure, maybe just a small branch office) or companies similar to these companies, would they accept engineers?

Working in an engineering firm

I finished my STPM this month, and my aim is to study engineering locally in a university that has it's overseas campus here. Before starting my course, which only starts in September 2015, I have a lot of spare time from now till then. I would like to work, but I think that working part-time or full-time in a restaurant or coffee chain would not benefit me much in terms of knowing more about engineering and what I would study in university.

So if possible, I would like to work in an engineering firm or any company that can help me in my studies in engineering in university. Maybe like an internship, but I'm not sure if this can be called internship because as I know, internships are done during the duration of studies nearing graduation in university. I have tried looking around, but most internships only want candidates who are already studying in university. I had already asked this question in the Jobs & Careers sub forum, but thought I ask here for more replies. Can you all give any advice regarding what I can do?
