WTA Power Supply Needed for R9 280X

The box says that minumum recommended is 750W but I think its overstated. Most said that 750w isnt necessary according to this forum http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-183...equirement.html

I am also skeptical and at the same time who wouldn't wanna save cost?

I am thinking of getting a 700w power supply but my tech guy insist that I should get something at 850w to be safe.

Anyone with experience please help me out or comment

MUET July registration

Recently I registered muet through online via pin mec from bsn bank. They had a list of schools available for selection to my surprise it seems like almost every smk school is having muet at the same time. Is that is the case and if so will they announce the date or any further details later? Anyone sat before externally instead of sitting ilin their own college?

Unable to find internship

I am probably the only one who is not able to find an internship. My deadline is 19 Jan 2014 (the day I start work), will I fail not finding an internship? I given myself an ultimatum to tell my superior about my unemployment after new year because I just applied for 2 more on 24th December. Anyone was in my shoes, got any tips? I am in a Food Science course...

Fake goods and foreigners in lowyat plaza

I seem to have a very uncomfortable and bad perception in certain areas of Lowyat. I do understand that is the best place to get all the gadget related stuff but just recently I went there like twice and had a bad experience. I start to grow some extent of dislike for that place.

I naively bought a 10400mAh Xiaomi powerbank which is AP (that is what I think they call) or as I'd like to call it fake for RM50. The next 2 days when I found out it was fake, I called up that shop and head back to the shop for a refund. These "foreigners" (there was a malay lady previously) who were running the shop gave me a hard time just to ask for a refund for the item since they insist that the powerbank is original and working. I explained that the cable with the mi logo is fake and other fake facts about their product and they dismissed it. I marched right up to another store, purchased an original 10400mAh Xiaomi powerbank with the logo sticker and original box (the fake ones had glass), right after that I showed them everything different about it. They kept on say they cant do anything and they kept telling me that the best they can do is give me RM20 or either give other powerbanks in their display instead. Finally, somehow, when I almost wanted to leave the place and warned that I would come another day to complain, they gave me a RM40 offer which I took since I got fed up arguing.

My point here is there are so many shops selling so many similar products with many different prices that you spend most of your time walking around just to compare selling prices and their reliability and to make it worse, most of them are filled with foreigners which is a sight for sore eyes as most of them have 0 idea about the products at hand or how to handle customers.

Getting sick of trying to find a good place to get my things in a reliable manner. Some parts of lowyat feels like a fake, low class pasar malam selling gadgets.

What do you guys think?

Update: Tarita holdings at lowyat is the one that sold the fake product. Full of foreign workers and rip off products.
