Question about RPGT exemption and COCR

Hello guys, I just read that for RPGT, there is an exemption when one transfers the property between family. What does it mean by 'transfer'? If say my parent want to sell one of their house to me, does that qualifies?

Also, regarding COCR. If a person does not put any downpayment, how would he calculate his COCR?

Need help on which internet to choose.

Hello all, I am currently renting at Iris Apartment near Taman Abadi Indah, Taman Desa. I was thinking of applying for TIME, then realized that it is not yet available there. Then, UNIFI would be my second option. However, I read the thread and they say need to do some drilling, which would be a hassle since I am not the owner etc. So is there any other options considering my situation? Any internet that is reliable and preferably unlimited. Thanks

Company share plan

Is company share plan something good? Should I take it? The term is, deduct from salary to buy company's stock. And if still employed after 3 years, company will match 1:1 subject to taxes etc. From my point of view, it's like a 50% discount? Correct?

Hello all, I was wondering if someone can explain abit of these for me.

"Your salary and benefits include compensation for all hours worked by you including, if applicable, any overtime payments."

Does this mean I will get or not get overtime payment?

"You must not hold any office or accept any appointment to or in any other entity or body, undertake any other trade, business or profession, or become an employee, agent or contractor of another person."

Does this mean I cant do part time jobs? Say for example selling insurance. If I have a part time job, should I disclose it to them?

Thanks

Need opinions on decision to make. Please help!

Hello guys, I am from Ampang and I need your inputs and opinions for a little fresh grad like me. I've been offered for Job 1 and have passed the interview (supposedly the hardest part) for Job 2. After that, for Job 2, there's one more assesment and if I pass, there's job offer. The agent who spoke to me said that the interview is the most challenging part, if you passed it, you should pass the assesment. However, it is still not 100% confirmed.

So now comes the dilemma, I have to get back to Job 1 person in like this Friday, and the assesment for Job 2 would probably be in January and the job itself will start maybe in February. Which one should I choose? Please help! Also, currently Im doing an attachment in a company until the end of January. I am leaning more towards Job 2, but Job 1 is confirmed and Job 2 is not. So any opinions will help me make this decision.

Job 1.
IT- Programmer/Implementer
Local company who has contracts with government etc (There's currently one project/contract with TNB)
Salary: RM2k - (Since I dont have an IT background)
x% EPF
Transport allowances
Other benefits
Location: Damansara, no public transport nearby
Attraction: Would be a good place for me to learn programming and technical skills

Job 2.
HR admin- Master Data
Shared service MNC company
Salary: RM3.6k
16% EPF
Optical Dental benefits
Location: Mid Valley, KTM nearby
Attraction: MNC company, possibly good work environment, would be a good place for me to grow since MNC and stuffs

Please state your opinions! Thank you very much for taking time to read this TL.

HR Admin - Data Master

Hello guys, I'm currently preparing for an interview for an MNC company under the above position. I have a rough idea on what they expect me to do based on their JD. However, I am still unsure about the career path of this job. Will I only be dealing with data management and updates and the learning of SAP or is there more valuable skills to be learn? Say for example, if I aspire to be a Data Scientist in the future, would this job be a good start up job for me? Or its totally different paths even tho they both deal with data. Thank you!

Need input on path that I should take.

Hi there all, I am kinda in a dilemma on which path that I should take. I am a recent (June) Physics graduate from Uni of Manchester. Grade so-so. There are a few choices and I would like to ask for some opinions from you guys. Im aiming to become a data scientist/analysis in 10 years time but I currently lack two skills for me to become successful in this line: programming and finance. I only know basic C++.

1. Continue Masters of Quantitative Science at UiTM. March 2015 intake. This course has some statistics and programmings. The free time in the morning I can either do part-time work or learn more about programming (Since class is 6-9pm).

2. Find a IT-related work with strong hands on programming. This is kinda hard since alot of those jobs expect you to have a degree in IT or have decent grasp of programming languages.

3. Find a finance related work. Since my aim is to a financial data scientist, maybe my experience in this kind of line would help me in the future. However, still the same problem as 2., no employer would take someone with no business background. Maybe if I can get into a training program in this field, it would be the best. But its hard considering my degree.

So what do you guys think? I've sent about 24~ applications in the past month and so far, no real offer. Only a few interviews. Thank you for your opinions.

Need input on my financial plan.

Hello there all, this is my first post here in LYN as I was only lurking before. The post might be a bit long so I apologize first. I need some inputs and advises regarding my plan for financial freedom by 40. Hope you guys can help. Thank you.

Brief background: 23 years old, married, am currently under some training (Only 2 months to go, or if I obtain a job, whichever first). Me myself receive RM1500/m while my wife receive RM2700/m. We are comfortable of sustaining life (expenses) with both incomes.

So the plan is like below. For the sake of easement, Ill combine our incomes to make the plan easier to follow. We are fortunate enough to have our parents save for the tabung haji since little.

Assets:
A Property RM215k (Planning to rent)
Saving - Tabung Haji Rm22k - Rm22k (Both)
A capital for stock/unit trust portfolio - RM23000
Emergency accounts RM1500 - Rm1500 (Both) - For emergency, and to avoid going back and forth between TH and bank.

What I plan to do with our incomes:
Income: RM4200
10%: Tabung Haji
10%: Give parents
10%: Give others
Balance: RM2940

Then go to expenses:
House: RM1100 (Will waive if can find renter)
Food: Rm900
Transportation: RM676
- Service: RM100
- TnG: RM100
- Wife's LRT: RM176
- My LRT: RM100
- Fuel : RM200
Others: RM250
Total: RM1826
Balance: RM14 (If no renter)

I am maybe overestimating my expenses. So my plan is to use the balance at the end of each month (Last day before salary come in) and put them into my capital for stock portfolio, which I am still learning at the moment. I'm going to buy my first stock possibly before the start of next year. Hope I can at least learn the important stuffs about value investing.

A few questions:
1. Is this a good plan? I am fortunate enough to have some capital from my parents enabling me to start investing soon. So I want to be able to repay them in the future, hence going into stocks.
2. Is the saving in Tabung Haji (6% dividen), good? Or too much? More should be put into stocks? Or less?
3. Should I continue with my plan with stocks? Or maybe some in unit trusts? ETFs?
4. Any idea where I can improve?

Thank you for your helps. Also, I dont wanna take ASB if that counts for anything.
