how to perform object serialization in inheritance

In order to store the whole object, i uses random access file type, however it needs same size in object, but in inheritance, each child may have extra data member.
using padding information to make base the same size with all its child?

router problem

hi, I am using the D-Link DSL-604T router.
I don't know why, but i forgotten the password to log-in to the router's -user interface where we can set all our stuff like port forwarding etc.

If i want to reset(Factory) the router, what should i do before and after resetting it?
