how to convert DAT to JPG?

long time ago i back-up some photo & a video to cd using Nero. since then my harddisk went kaboom...i dont have the photo files anymore. recently i found the cd that i burned. apparently the photo are in the segment folder of the vcd & video is in the mpegav folder.

i can only view the video using vcd/dvd player but i cant view the photos.
is there any way to convert the dat in segment folder to jpg again?

i tried vlc player to view the photo dat file, but it's just 1-2 sec then stop. cant even screen capture.

Please help me. the photos are important.

i tried rename the extension to .jpg too but it doesnt work. just blank only.

Cant logon after improper shutdown of Windows Vista?
i was using my pc when my colleague accidentally switch off the plug connected to my pc. after switching on again, when i tried to logon to my account, i cant. it says cant load the user setting....

how to fix that? i got very important files in that account. please help...

please help me...
i was using AVG anti virus but it detected nothing.
my fren say avast is good so i downloaded.....then it found a virus called 'ab.cmd' and 'kavo.exe'
after that...i tried to heal it..but cant so delete...
apparently after than..when i double click my C: (master hd) drive and F: (slave hd).....cannot open
the 'open with' window poped up...so i can only open my hd when i select from the address bar on top.

i watch a movie using my thumbdrive in my fren's laptop...after that her laptop's hd also cannot open...
when it happened to my own pc it's okie...but now my fren's laptop also get it..
so please help me..
how to get rid of it....
i uninstall avast already because it actually brought me to this trouble...
dont know good or bad...

i accidentally (itchy hand) go and created a network..from network setup wizard.....
i click click click...until i chose "this computer connects to the internet directly or through network hub. other computers on my network also connect to the internet directly or through a hub"
then i turn on file sharing and printer sharing......
i wanted to share a printer....
i dont know why...end up...
i cant connect to internet...but the other desktop can connect
(using a router la)

when my pc wanna connect, the normal streamyx window pop up ask to enter username and password...
that doesnt come out normally......
usually just on pc can connect edi...
but now eventhough it says connect to LAN 100mpbs and stuff...but cant go online also....
anyone can help? urgent!!!!
