Raid 0 configuration

Hi there,

I just got a new rig and I'm really tempted to use a raid 0 configuration. Been googling for guides but all i could find was how to install raid configurations on a fresh pc w/o any OS installed.

So I'm wondering right now...If i do add another hdd and run my rig on a raid 0 config, would the process require me to reformat my first hdd?

thanks in advance for any help.

changing from vista 32bit to 64bit

I've recently purchased 4 gb of RAM for my laptop, which is currently using vista 32bit. I found out that this os does not support up to 4gb, and that i need to use a 64bit version of vista to fully utilize the 4gb....so here's my question:

Is there a definite way to be sure my laptop can support a 64bit version of vista? Because i heard that not all processors can support 64bit.
and if it can't, is there a way to somehow divert the unused RAM to my gc?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

Game Crashes after installing Chipset

Hey all...some of you might remember me as the guy who posted bout the Nvidia 7600Gs probs...Anyway, went to a pc repair shop and the guy said that there was nothing wrong with the graphic card. He said the prob was my hard disk.

So, bought new hdd, formatted, and installed all drivers ( graphics and audio) except for chipset drivers..This setup allowed me to play games smoothly, without crashing, BUT, I couldn't play any form of movies..i've already downloaded codecs (K-Lite codecs) but still, it didn't work.

So >.<, installed Chipset drivers this time, and now can play movies perfectly, but games crash pula... >.<

Btw, I tried using a new 512 RAM from my friend's new comp and still crashed,so dun think itz RAM probs. Any advise? TQ

My rig:

AMD Athlon 64 3000
Gigabyte K8 series
512MB RAM (system)
XFX Geforce 7600GS
80GB SATA HDD

*all drivers that i'm using are the latest.

XFX GeForce 7600GS probs

Hello every1! seriously need help here. I've recently bought the card mentioned in the topic (AGP slot) and have come across some probs :

1) Unable to play movies- CPU usage climbs to 100% whenever i try to play
any sort of movies. Tried using different players. (Real, quicktime, even divx.)
2) During gaming, game lags abit especially during cutscenes..games such as
Neverwinter nite2 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers- Both that came with the card as well as the latest from the nvidia website, but still the problem continues. Even tried using different versions of DirectX.

My comp=

AMD Athlon 64 3000
Gigabyte K8 Triton series nforce3
460 watts truepower
512MB RAM
Maxtor 80Gb SATA

Bought the card 3 days ago. Any recommendations? Thx all
