axper XP-K7S748 config

hi!

i just bought an axper socket A mobo from your shop to replace my old faulty mobo, the problem is it cannot detect my processor speed correctly, i have tried the auto configuration and manual configuration but to no avail. any feedback from those who purchased this mobo before?? any help???

in the website http://www.axper.com/support/CPU_list/CPU_list_XP_K7S748.htm it said that athlon xp 2600+ with 266 Mhz FSB is supported. but i cannot make it to detect my xp 2600+ correctly it will only shows athlon 800mhz

my proc detail is as follow:

Amd mobile athlon xp 2600+
FSB 266 Mhz
default clock speed i think is around 2Ghz

the memory setting in the bios is also related to the processor speed, and i cant find any help in the manual in setting the correct speed either

i am on a 2.5GB RAM
1st slot 1GB DDR 400 Apacer
2nd slot 1GB DDR 400 Apacer
3rd slot 512 Mb DDR 333 Kingston

previously i was running 2.5GB RAM on DDR 333 speed. how to set in the bios for the axper XP-K7S748??? any help or suggestion???

lastly does this mobo support HDD Smart Function??? if yes, pls guide me to enable it pls. tq tq

BUT

when i went back and checked my email the support team from gigabyte just dropped me a mail said that they have a modded bios which is not available to download at the website, that can adjust the CPU ratio. no use liao since i already change the mobo So to those who need the updated bios or have same problem for the mobo which is not detecting the proc correctly drop me a pm, i will forward u the mail. tq tq

wan to ask something regarding switch, my fren hook up his comp in this manner

modem> switch > two pc

he cant bittorrent, issit bcos of the switch?? does the switch need to do port forwading like a router??? or mayb issit the modem???
