Dear Sifus,

As per title. If anybody know what is the process to be invited in TV show (MHI/selamat pagi malaysia/business talk/detik niaga etc) to talk about your field of expertise, please let me know. Recently boss ask the whole team to be expose as part of a branding exercise for my company to appear publicly either in forum/seminar/TV station/Radio Station as panel or speaker. How to do? Got no clue here. Just call the TV station say I want to appear?

Potential future employee background check

I recently have been retrenched from my old company due to global economic reason and have been compensated fairly (January 2020). Fast forward in Feb 2020 I got a job at my previous old company which offer me a 1 year contract job with 50% pay cut from my old salary. No epf no other benefits/perks, just cash at the end of the month after I invoiced them (something like contractor's invoice). I thankful that I manage to land that job to survive and feed my family and keep searching for permanent job (I just grab whatever offer on the table actually that time).

Again fast forward to Oct 2020, now I got one job opportunity which I have attended the interview successfully which could give me the similar salary bracket like my old job (or higher) and the company HR via 3rd party recruitment specialist have asked me to signed a consent letter for a background check and some other info (current salary and perks, expected salary , LATEST 2 MONTH PAYSLIP etc) to proceed to the next step. Can I give them my old company pay slip dated Dec 2019/Jan 2020 since:

1. My current company dont have payslip only receipt.

2. My pay at my current company is half of what I use to get and I'm scared they gonna low ball me to accept the offer.

What choice do I have? Can I alter/create a payslip which is similar to my old job and submit to them.

Can I not sign the consent latter Or will they call my current employer to check on my details (is it legal?)

Thanks for the advice

UPDATE: Many Thanks to all here who have given me advice which I followed. Praise to all mighty God, after going thru several i/v, I finally secured the job offer which pay relatively 28% higher than my last permanent job (before I was retrenched) and 96% higher than my current contract job. I believe the job market is reviving and would see further improvement in the coming month. Wishing everyone here all the best and never give up! Thanks

Google search - key words frequency

In one of the workshop I attend, I saw the trainer’s google page (he projected it in-front of the class) has few things that my normal google page doesnt have. When he type any key word and press search, the result came out (as our normal google search result page) but interestingly it has a number of total time the same keyword have been search in google history and how frequent the same key word have been search in this month alone. What he use?

Forced to resign.. Sad

Hi All,

Due to my company bad performance, they are reducing workforce and my number is up. Manager call me with HR and inform the decision. They would like to know my answer if I would want to resign voluntarily or being terminate by the company. They told me, resigning would be a better option for me as it would look good in the CV and to my future employer. Im a full time staff and just been confirmed on employment in March this year (join Oct 2018).

What is my option? In my employment contract when they hire me, either party can resign or terminate with 1-month notice or 1-month paid salary. Can I get anything else if they terminate me? Is there any minimum compensation by malaysian law that the company need to full fill? Or can they just terminate me by only paying the 1-month salary?

Its MNC company based in Germany. Dont have local office but have local office address. My HR is in shenzhen.

Please help. Really sad and dont know what to do now. Been doing all regular stuff (update cv, jobstreet, linkedin) hoping to get hire before they fired me.

Thanks guys
