- Chinese chars cannot be displayed correctly [ FIXED]
- Screen flicker (mixed with black and white) in topic detail screen [ FIXED]

I've released alpha version of the app :

At the moment, there will be a delay for 15 minutes in order for the latest topics to be included in the reader.

To refresh, pull the list down (Just like facebook). You can vote for the topics and in the future release there will be top 10 topics based on the voting.

There are 4 permission required :
-Network = to detect network availability
- Internet = to fetch the RSS
- Write External Storage = to store cache (for performance)
- Read External Storage = to read the cache (for performance)

Current Limitation

- Only can view topic. No comment can be added
- Comment only available via full web (Click on "Open Web" button)
- Latest topics are processed every 15 mins, meaning latest topics are populated every 15 mins

Details :

MY-Traffic is a social traffic monitoring for Malaysian. It has features :

- Graphical way to view road incidents data extracted from PLUS and LLMTraffic

- User can contribute their traffic incidents and this incident will automatically alerted other traffic users.

- Each incidents contributed will be rated "Helpful" or "Not Helpful" by other users to make sure it's a reliable

Here is the details

Movie Reminder is not another cinema guide or TV guide that shows entire schedules. Movie Reminder displays movie schedules based on user preference. It offers movie preference setting whereby user can set their favourite actors or movie titles and Movie Reminder will automatically find related movie schedule in ASTRO and local cinema schedule based on the preferences.

For example, if you are big fan of Tom Hanks and you are not sure what or when movies related to Tom Hanks will be aired on ASTRO or local cinema, then Movie Reminder is the perfect application for you.

I'm currently in the middle of testing my android application that will help you to sync your favourite team match schedule with ASTRO Sport Channel.

Basically what this app does :

- List all football matches scheduled in ASTRO Sport Channel based on your favourite team
- Enable you to set a reminder of the matches to your phone calendar

If you don't set any favourite team, it will display all the matches :

I'm in the middle of developing application for android named "Movie Reminder". So basically I would like to ask your opinion or feedback about the app.

Normal channel/cinema showtime guide application just provide user with entire schedules for all channels/cinemas and people would not prefer to see entire channel/showtime guide and they dont really like to use it bcos they need to scroll and scroll just to find which movie that they like.

So based on this, my app will only display movie schedule based on what actually user want to see or like only. My app offers movie preference setting whereby user can set who are the actor they interested or movie title that they like.

For example, you are big fan of Tom Hanks, but you are not sure what are the Tom Hanks's movies that ASTRO/Cinema will air and on what time.. so this is the app for..

Based on these preference, my app will try to find suitable schedule with ASTRO/Cinema movie schedule and display it. This app also offers reminder (integrated with Google Calendar) that will notify user on the future schedule.

ASTRO b.yond Guide already got la for Android !!! What is so special about your app ?? .. heheh... i know someone will ask this.. as i mentioned previously this is not another channel guide app... this is based on your preference and it will only display movie or schedule on movie or actor that you like..

Paying Housing loan with Personal Loan

Hi,

Just want to throw a discussion on paying house loan with a personal loan. For example, your house loan is RM 180,000 with 6.5% for 30 years (monthly RM970) . However if you manage to get a personal loan for RM180,000 with 4.9% interest for 15 years (monthly RM 1735), is it a good deal to pay lump sum your house loan with the personal loan ?

From my perspective, house loan based on BLR that will going up/down but personal loan interest rate is remains the same for entire loan period. So it seems to be a good deal if you can handle the a bit higher monthly payment. With this you can easily save around RM50,000

But it just from normal people perspective like me which do not know much about financial.

Any opinion on this matter from any financial expert or someone who has experienced this before ?
