Prey. that Bioshock + Half-Life vibe

hey guys. i just completed Prey. except for the ending, i found the whole game damn satisfying. especially the ability of recycling garbage and making your own ammo.

while playing it i noticed it has some similarities with Half-Life. the hero's named Morgan and he don't talk much but he does interact with other people. there's a Glue Gun which is a bit different than the Gravity Gun but at least there's no annoying driving sections.

the neuromods and weapon upgrades work a bit like Bioshock's plasmids

only thing missing is a companion like Alyx or Elizabeth (bioshock : infinite)

it's a 9/10 (would have given a 10 but didn't like the ending).

i really hope Arkane will make a sequel. did u guys like it too?

hey guys, so last night showbox just updated some new movies and this was one of them. i didn't know what to expect as i haven't seen the trailers and the movie kinda went below my radar this year.

movie started first just like any murder investigation story then things got creepy and finally things got really fucked up. thought you guys might wanna give it a go.

i don't wanna spoil anything but i'd recommend you go straight watching it without seeing the trailer or read the reviews.

it was an 8/10 for me.

so anyone watching this? although a bit slow, i think it's pretty good. 3 episodes edi.

kinda felt the tension & emotions the guy went through going from cop car... to lockup... to interrogation... to jail. thought he was an idiot for running away like that.

really felt bad for his family. especially his dad with the cab and all.

the detective is one subtle SOB but i can understand why he's doing it.

the lawyer with the eczema i can understand too. but maybe the story didn't need to go that detail into his feet.

the situation reminded me of a story i heard once when i was kid. the muslim guy thought getting drunk was the least bad of all the sins but he ended up drunk, fornicated & murdered the woman he did it with.

if i'm on a jury i'd say he's guilty too.

hi guys. i want to share my wifi with the house next door. would a repeater do the job or should i replace the huawei trg212m with a better router instead?

i'm using VIP10 and the router is currently at the ground floor.

requirements:

- cater for 8 users
- cover both houses including the second floor (radius 15 metres)
- 2.4Ghz channel (lots of walls and most devices cannot use 5Ghz)
- budget RM350

i'm currently looking at the asus rt-n14uhp router. is this a good idea?

so these two movies just got leaked online and here are my thoughts:

Hateful Eight

- it's not bad but it's not as action-packed as Kill Bill or as funny as Inglorious Basterds
- i love Kurt Russell & Sam L Jackson in it
- i give it a 7/10 whereas i give Kill Bill vol 1 8/10 & Basterds 9/10.
- if u hate Tarantino movies you're not gonna like this.

The Revenant

- ugh this movie was so sloooow and boring. had to fast forward a lot.
- Leo looked great though. he did all the nasty stuff too like

- hated the ending
- i give this a 5/10 for Leo's effort but can't really recommend it.

The Last Kingdom

sup guys. I just wanted to recommend this new show from BBC called The Last Kingdom set in 9th century England. Season 1 just finished recently so you can marathon the whole thing now.

the hero Uhtred is a Saxon raised by the Danes when the Danes attacked England. he's quite an interesting character because he's very stubborn, don't take crap from anybody (including the king) and is a godless heathen.

while the show has gore, there's no nudity and sex scenes. and no magic, dragons or ice zombies too. the battles are pretty great to watch though. they really form the shield-wall when fighting.

you might want to check it out while waiting for zombie Jon Snuh to come back.

I went to Universiti Teknologi Mara to pursue a degree in law. From the time of its establishment, Dewan Latihan RIDA, which became Kolej MARA, later Institut Teknologi MARA (ITM) and finally UiTM, only accepts Bumiputera students.

Although UiTM only admitted Bumiputera students, we had multi-ethnic lecturers. They were passionate and honest, taught us with sincerity and were never tired of our never-ending trouble-making attitude. Looking back, I have huge respect for this particular group of people who actually contributed to teaching students of a different descent, in a mono-ethnic institution which refused to admit students from their own races.

We had a very supportive Chinese lecturer and he could sing P. Ramlee’s songs beautifully. He would spend extra hours with students who needed extra help in their assignments, without asking for anything in return.

One particular English lecturer of Indian descent, who liked to use newspaper cuttings in his teaching, gave us nicknames based on the way we looked and our behaviour in class. Perhaps he was stereotyping, but most of us didn’t mind that. I was ‘Puan Sri’ (a title for a woman whose spouse is given the federal title Tan Sri). I have no idea why he called me that but most probably this was because of my strikingly dyed blonde hair that was considered out of the norm for UiTM students, though quite common in the law school.

I was once fined by a campus guard for sporting that particular hair colour, and also for donning a shirt that was deemed too short. Yes, according to the written rules, female students were only allowed to wear blouses long enough to cover their hips.

Since I was living on campus, I had to adhere to curfews too. Gates to the residential colleges were usually locked by 12am. Being the active person that I was, I had to attend club meetings and social events that would only end later than that. Due to my rebellious nature and refusal to submit to ridiculous rules, climbing over the gates after midnight was one of the excellent skills I picked up during my stay for two and a half years, and I never got caught.

Perhaps some people will cringe when they read this. But I know why they would cringe: because I’m a girl. Boys do this all the time, during my time and perhaps before and after my time. However, because they’re boys, it seems natural for society to accept such behaviour. I simply did what is the norm for boys; I just spoke my mind.

The FA has also charged Gabriel, 24, with improper conduct and both clubs with failing to control their players.

Costa has until 18:00 BST on Tuesday, 22 September to respond to the charge, which is for the clash with Koscielny.

Having confirmed the match officials did not see the incident, the FA supplied video footage to a panel of three former elite referees.

They each had to independently rule Costa's actions to be an instant red card for the FA to proceed with the charge.

If Costa accepts the charge he will serve an automatic three-match suspension with immediate effect but, if he contests it, an independent regulatory commission will rule.

Chelsea face Walsall, Newcastle and Southampton in their next three domestic fixtures.

Referee Mike Dean booked both Costa and Gabriel for their spat, before the latter was dismissed for kicking out at the Blues forward.

Gabriel and both clubs have until 18:00 BST on Thursday, 24 September to reply to their charges.

Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla, who was sent off for two bookable offences, has been warned about his behaviour.
