Dlink DI-524 modem

i just bought D-Link DI-524 modem & connect it thru my D-Link 500T modem. i have a very slow connection to the internet now & i think maybe some1 is using my wireless internet connection without my knowledge. i didn't put any password requiremens for my wireless connection.
so can u guys teach me how to set up password for my wireless connection?
i've browsed thru a few threads & they say i must put wep encryption i think.
how can i set password? pls explain in layman's term

Hey everyone, I'm new here. I'm thinking of going down to Sg next month to work there. Anyone of you with the same plans as mine? I not sure got wat job yet, so scared and anticipating... all these new experiences. I want to know anyone else from this forum is going to Singapore to work also?
