Is it necessary to own a motorcycle?

We all know that when we apply for some jobs, there is a requirement for candidates to possess their own vehicle. I do not own a vehicle but I use my mum&#39;s Kembara to travel to work . I do have a fear of riding a bike because of the risks of getting hit by a passing vehicle and you can see in the news about the accident cases involving motorcyclists that often result in death. However, I feel jealous because they can pass through traffic jams with ease as compared to those who are driving cars. So, do you think having a bike is necessary for work?

Part time lecturer jobs

Hi, I am currently in a jobless state. I have been working in IT and business administration fields for three years but I was laid off from my last job in December 2014. I was thinking of taking up lecturer jobs on a part time basis because I have some passion in teaching. I used to help my mother to conduct tuition classes for students a couple of years back. I have a masters in IT and a degree in business administration. I am also going to teach tuition during the weekends, but I would like to be a lecturer during weekdays. May I know which college I can start my teaching career? I am interested in teaching IT and business related courses. Thanks.

Open book test in programming before interview

Hi, I received an interview invitation from Housing Loan Department (Bahagian Pinjaman Perumahan) , Ministry of Finance, for the position of Pegawai Teknologi Maklumat F41. It is mentioned in the letter that I have to sit for an open book test in programming, particularly in PHP, HTML and MySQL before going for the interview. They also mentioned about cakePHP which is a PHP framework, but I have not used it before. I used PHP and MySQL for my final year project in developing an application, but my programming knowledge is a bit rusty since I am busy working. So, anybody can advise me how to prepare for this open book test? Thanks&#33;

Where to find free skills training course in IT?

Hi, I am planning to upgrade my skills in the field of IT , especially in the field of computer networking and security. Last time I used to join courses sponsored by MDEC and HRDF where they provide free training for those who are unemployed with allowances but now I could not find those type of courses anymore. Even if I can find, I have to pay a hefty sum to join unless the training center is willing to sponsor me. May I know which company provide those free training courses? Thanks.

Outsourcing in IT - Good or Bad?

I read somewhere in the forum that there are IT outsourcing companies who behave like typical Chinaman companies, in terms of management. I have worked for two IT outsourcing companies in the past and I can tell you that it sucks. Why? Firstly, you don&#39;t get the same benefits like the client company. Next, the outsourcing company will pay you peanuts and if you make a slight mistake, you get maximum scolding from your boss. So, I would like to know whether is it a good thing or bad thing if companies today,especially the MNCs, decide to outsource their IT services to vendors?

How to strike a good conversation with a stranger?

Hi, I am currently in contact with someone whom I don&#39;t know in real life. My colleague introduced me to this guy who is an old friend of hers recently. According to her, the man has twin daughters, so she suggested me to check out his profile on Facebook. She also showed me some photos of his daughters and I am attracted to one of them.Yesterday, the man called me and asked me about my job, my family and where do I go to pray since both of us are Christians. However, there is one part of the conversation which makes me feel uneasy, that is my job. I am currently working part time in a govt department and he is asking me why I am still working part time. I told him that I am waiting for a job interview in December. I am planning to become a govt officer one day since it was my ambition to serve in the public sector, but the Public Service Commission has not call me yet for any interviews. However , I am not giving up my hopes yet and I am applying continuously until I land myself an interview. <br /><br />I am hoping that I will get the chance to meet one of his daughters and I would like to make a good impression. I am also quite nervous when talking to someone whom I have not met in real life. So, the man said he will contact me in four days time. So, how do I strike a good conversation with him? I am thinking of meeting him somewhere but he lives in Kajang and I am from Ampang. Thank you.
