Hey all,
Need some insight from the community.
Im in the process of selling my car.
Ive done puspakom inspections. Gave the reports to buyer and for him to give to his HP bank.
Now the bank is asking for JPJ Search.
Anyone know what this is for?
I tried googling.. and calling them, no pick ups, no answers.
Just trying to find a way to get this online instead. No time to go to jpj this week.
Thanks
Looking for Mitsubishi body parts

Hey,
Im having an issue finding a used tail gate for my 2016 Mitsubishi Triton.
Long story short- Load was not secured properly. Load slid down to the tail gate and made the left side of the tail gate to buckle. The tail gate was down when carrying the load. Now it cannot be closed.
Repair on this will require knocking and welding, which is time consuming due to logistic. Also I cannot simply remove and left it empty due to the nature of this car's business. (Right now it's being hold back by rubber insulated wires)

To ease on logistic, I wish to change to a new one.

Called few wreckers that I found online from googling, but none of them carry this part.
Called mitsubishi and was quoted RM2.5k
Called mitsubishi 3rd party dealers, was quoted RM1.5k (w/o paint job)

So here I am hoping to get recommendations on wreckers/halfcuts that carry mitsubishi body parts.
Few passenger doors I see online only cost 150-500rm. So the price should be around here.

Anyone knows of any?

Got 50k, Which loan should I settle

Hey all,
Seeking some recommendation on which loan i should clear off.
I got 50k disposable cash, and planning on applying a home loan, 360k.
I need to clear out one of the loans i currently have in order for me to get better chance of approval.

1. Local car, been paying for 2 years, and got another 7years to go. 625/m (for full settlement, 46k)
2. Foreign car, been paying for 6 months, and got 6.5years to go. 722/m (for full settlement, 49k)
3. Personal loan, been paying for ~2+ years, and got ~8 years to go. 1135/m. (Balance 80k, can refinance and reduce to 30k)

Im looking at the local car as the interest is 3.3% (not effective). But then the pp loan has the highest 3.67%pa (not effective).
Id rather clear off the car so i can sell whenevrr i want. But in terms of finance, i guess its better to reduce pp loan. But then again if consider depreciation...

Ps, should also include whatever savings i have, i usually have them in asb. So its also a liquidation consideration too for the car and Pl

Appreciate your input 😄

Hello all, just wanted to share this warranty given by proton on my iriz 1.6 mt. I got it when they were doing this promotion in 2015.
7 years or 250000km, which ever comes first. Things warranted are stated in the attached.
Im not sure if its worth servicing with proton for the next 5 years.
Im itching to add more hp by upgrading stock exhaust and intake.. and possibly tuning.
If youre in my shoe, what would you do?

Whats considered total loss?

Hey guys, would someone please clarify or share some experiences on whats considered total loss of the car?

My familys car hit a trailer. The thing it was carrying was way too long and there wasnt any traffic controller. The driver couldnt see the overhanging structure and drove into it.
Right side a pillar scrumbled, and detached from the front side. The left side pillar damanged but still intact. I could see bukling at the back though. The gap between tyres are also off, and not propotion.
The whole windscreen has cracked/shattered, and drivers side mirror is somwhere on the street.
Does this considered a total loss due to excessive damage to body structure?
Thanks!

Refund on booking

Hello all,
Last year in November, I put up a booking for a unit under development. Expected to finish this year. I set a condition with the sales agent that I would need to discuss with my brother or parents to have the loan to be joint-name. Unfortunately they didn't agree. So two days after, I cancelled the booking and asked for the refund. The sales agent agreed.
The sales agent transferred me to their financial department. One guy in charge of issuing the refund. But until today i have yet to receive it. Where do I stand legally? They said the process would take only 21 days, but it has been 2 months. I received only 4 replies from the person in charge, I tried calling him but no answers. Now the COO is taking over my case and he said it would take another 2 weeks. Most likely after CNY. It is frustrating because the person in charge never update me on the progress. And I have been waiting too long for it. Hope someone has gone through similar experience and would care to share here.
p.s. I made the booking at one of the property stands in a shopping mall.
Seeking opinions on my financial

Hey all,
I've been thinking long and hard for this.
Below is my financial details;

Stable gross salary: RM 4,468 ( RM3850 take home)
Monthly expenses: RM 2,000
Loan commitment: RM1,704 (personal 100k and 100k asb)
Side income: around RM 3,000 (capital from above loan)

This is regarding buying a new car under my name. Planning on getting a RM52k car with monthly payment of RM620/9years.
Current car can only be used to go and coming back to work (not my car, Daitsu Charade). It cannot go further than 100km (maybe less) in a day or else the engine will explode, and in that 100km travel, Id be drenched in sweat.
I've been avoiding going out because the car is really uncomfortable. I plan to travel alot during Nov-Feb every year to the east coast. This car obviously wont do.
Thankfully, the monthly payment will be sponsored.

However, heres the dilemma. I plan to buy an apartment for investment around 270k next year, and would give me monthly rental of RM900-RM1200. I need another 10k (or less) to save up for the deposit and extra charges.

Im worried that this car loan would disturb my loan application for housing next year. The side income cannot be declared.
My stable salary is expected to increase 300-400 next year.

Hope that you can share your thoughts in this. It would be appreciated very much.

Cracked Tail Light

Hey all,
Just wondering. I bought a second hand car, and the right rear light is cracked (not shattered). The unit is still working, but if it rains, I can see moisture getting into it.
Should I save RM140 and not replace it? What are the circumstances ofthis decision? Will it short circuit the internal wiring? But I assumed the fuse will break first. Maybe then I will change it.

Kiteboarding/kitesurfing

Hey,
Seems that there is no existing post on kiteboarding/kitesurfing.

Do you know what it actually is?
Well it's basically wakeboarding but no boats required. You do need wind. Sufficient wind for the kite that is attached to you to pull you through the water. Just like sailing, you can travel any direction including against the wind direction.
You can enjoy the many disciplines of this sport, wave riding, freestyle, wakestyle, racing, etc
Google would give hell lot more information.

If you are an already kiter or interested to know more about it or share about your experience, come and do it here!

Ford ranger or mitsu Storm 2004-2006

Hey all,
I'm currently looking to buy a used 4x4. Either a storm or ranger from 2004-2006.
Budget is around 30k. Will be a manual transmission.
The car will be used on an island, taking passengers up and down a mountain. The road is averagely built. the slope can be steep at certain parts. Maybe 45 degrees slope.
It has to be reliable, fuel efficient, easy to find parts, good power, and easy to fix.
The car will run till it can run no longer. Targeting 2-4 years of service.
Anyone with experience can give advices/opinions which to get?
Thanks heaps!
